@ChiefsKingdom_24 Mahomes actually got to sit for a full year. That NEVER happens. He’s also more naturally talented than Hurts. Hurts is beginning to find that balance of TOO MUCH. Mahomes gunslinger abilities will also account for turnovers. He is a better QB, but it’s not as if the team around him is bad either. Mahomes was eased into it with a good team and a good QB mentor and great head coach. Hurts had the line and some players hus first year, but came in during a tough time. Then 2021 was new everything. The Eagles have been proving themselves from the ground up. Howie killed it in the offseason, I have never seen a turnaround like this so quickly. Had the balls to MOSTLY blow a team up and rebuild quickly. I dunno if the Chiefs have those kind of balls. Hell, the drafted the RB Mahomes wanted and they barely use him!

@ChiefsKingdom_24 Patrick mahomes didn’t play first year started good. Burrow was good from the start had no talent on the team got injured. Lamar started good he went 6-1 his first year. Josh Allen I already mentioned. Tua is the only one that made a jump. But what your forgetting about hurts is we saw how bad his throwing was when he started all he could do was run. Now he’s almost a complete QB. Big difference in his improvement than guys that already started good lol

@Mike Hatten Lamar was horrible his rookie year… just because he was 6-1 didn’t mean anything he was still awful

Josh Allen was horrible his first 2 years, then became elite

Burrow was wasn’t terrible, but in the games he did play he was ok

Mahomes, that one’s weird to say because we never really saw too much of him his rookie year so I’ll give you that one

Not really much of a jump he was always the GOAT ever since high school but the Eagles just sucked the past few years they finally added better players

And winning is a team stat, and it’s not like Mahomes has a losing record. His team is still tied for the best record in the afc

Arm strength is no issue, but throwing mechanics definitely is… look at how wobbly his passes are… Mahomes can throw prettier passes in his sleep.

@Yahoyakim Go back and look at Jalens passes. He can’t throw a spiral to save his life. Lol if you had any basic knowledge of aerodynamics, or at least how to throw a football properly, you’d understand that giving the ball a good spin on your release, is crucial for throwing into tight windows and into double coverage. Meeting the proper aerodynamics on a pass allows a more precise ball placement. Wobblers catch the wind a little bit, suppressing the power and accuracy. Don’t @ me with a “dope” comment bro. I played QB for my hometown from 3rd to 11th grade, 4 state titles, 2 other championship appearances, and multiple playoff appearances. Then I blew my elbow in the off season between junior and senior year. My dad and uncle are coaches, and I was an assistant offensive coach for a middle school team for a while. I know the game buddy, it’s been my whole life.

This. Hurts study tape and worked on his throwing mechanics during the off season. He continues to grow.

He’s definitely improving. He needs to work on his throwing mechanics though. Nothing more cringeworthy than a wobbly mid/deep ball into a tight window, or into double coverage. He needs to work on that spiral, so the accuracy will be pin point.

@Justin Klinck His accuracy downfield is fine, he has some passes that are kinda wobbly, but even Peyton Manning showed you don’t need a perfect spiral to be effective. Just look at the 2nd TD to AJ, The TD pass to Quez on the Packers game.

@Dank Burrito you’re right, it is fine… but it can still be better. You should never settle for good enough. If I were a pro qb, I’d be constantly finding things to work on.
