Even though Justin Fields got sacked 4 times Atlanta needs a Pass Rush ASAP!!! he had too much time in the pocket.. And that goes with any other team Atlanta needs to get to the Quarterback PERIOD!!! My Opinion

    @James Martin Exactly and it also says that the Falcons haven’t had a top 10 defense at 25 years SMH. Even Dan Pee’s a Defense Guru Don’t know how to fix the Falcons Defense. I blame the personnel and the higher ups spending all that money on a quarterback and offensive line.. When the defense are the key pieces to winning football games. we got all this high power offense for the past 15 years but nothing to show for it. Something’s got to give.. Even though we won this game It would be extremely hard to make it too/through the playoffs without a defense. My Opinion

After grinding it out today with a clutch TD pass and a rushing touchdown a POS reporter asked Marcus if he was clear about being the starter for the rest of the season. That same guy asks Smith about a QB change every Monday win or lose. Is he from the Athletic? This team is young with WIP offensive crew and sub par OL in pass protection. Pitts is over hyped atm with too much pressure being put on him (hope he is ok). London is solid but makes rookie mistakes. Ridder is insurance not the guy. Billionaires don’t expect their franchise QB to come as the second pick in the 3rd round of weak QB class. Remember that. If ATL needs to move on from Marcus it will mean trading a pile of picks in 23 to trade up for a true franchise guy. They will in turn need to spend and over pay for defensive help with a loss of those picks. Or do they roll with Marcus another year, fix the OL, DL, secondary, and revamp the WR room with a mix of draft picks and big checks. If they do the latter and MM8 doesn’t secure the gig with more consistent play you have a team that is truly a QB away from going on a super bowl run. Right now they are not a QB away from anything. They are winning as a team and grinding it out. That is better than the 2-15 predictions most people had back in late August.

Great Team win by the Falcons. Marcus didn’t try to be Superman. Mariota took what the defense gave him and had a great game with a touchdown on the ground and in the air. The defense played well especially after two key turnovers in the first half. Front 7 kept Justin Fields confused and showed him pressure with the front 4. Grady Jarrett and Lorenzo Carter are so special together. Arthur Smith and Dean Pees had a great game plan. Half a game back in 1 place for NFC South.

    helps against the most sacked QB in the league though, I wouldn’t get too excited yet. We need to bring a 5th man in blitz more, I think, to pressure other teams with more solid O-lines. We only do it 10% while most winning teams right now do it 30% of the time.

I commented on this channel about using only one formation in the loss to Carolina. In this game, the Falcons maneuvered from being under center and in shotgun/pistol. That variation allowed us to get the win even with the fumble issues. Glad sum1 is listening 👍🏾
