White was a GREAT QB for the Cowboys. Very underappreciated.

Danny was unquestionably one of the most underrated players in Cowboy’s history, but he played a major role in the teams 4 playoff (e.g., 1980-1983) losses. He played poorly (e.g., offense scored 7 points) in the 1980 NFC Championship Game. He couldn’t ice the 1981 NFC Championship Game prior to The Catch, and after Pearson’s catch put the Cowboys within 10 yards of Rafael Septien’s field goal range, White fumbled the ball via strip sack to end the game. White played poorly for most of the 1st half of the 1982 NFC Championship Game before leaving the game via a concussion. As mentioned in this video, White turned the ball over 4 times in a 7 point home loss to the Rams in the 1983 Wildcard Game.

Danny White was very underrated and underappreciated. He was one of the most accurate passers I’ve ever seen. I think that Dallas would have won each one of those Super Bowls if they had advanced and then the story about Danny White would have been totally different.
