The problem with our defense and offense to an extent is that the general football community rewards behavior that has entertainment value (sacks, interceptions, strip tackles, pick sick’s etc) versus a stead player that does his job. There is no glory in stoping a one yard run, setting a good edge and running the back out of bounds, playing through a double team and holding your gap, etc. it takes unselfish players not to seek this glory and do the fundamentals real well. It’s the coaches job to create this unselfish culture and play players that have this behavior consistently.

Please watch the Kurt Warner video in you tube dissecting the Green Bay game and you will see the bad reads from Dak. He had guys open but he threw to the wrong receiver.

    Thats not all he said. He is critical of the route combinations and play design as a whole as well as the coaching he is getting. Kurts saying “I would have Dak do *this*” is a commentary on what the coaching staff is having Dak do. The funny part of his videos is what he would have Dak do. Its counter to what so many criticize Dak for. Fans, unable to see the big picture in a play: “Dak makes 40M, he needs to make throws that thread the needle! He doesnt get paid to throw check-down passes!”; Kurt Warner: “Dak shouldnt make that throw even though it was successful. I would want him to take the check-down”.

    Also, Kurt essentially said that even though Dak wants to trust his WR, and he should be able to – big picture, he cant.
