We still have a young defense with about 4 rookies and we just traded Quinn and Smith, so of course we’re going to give up plays but the future is promising 💯If poles can sign maybe 2 big names on D while our young rookies continue to develop as they are, our defense is gonna be nasty. Our offense is already looking good

85 could have helped Fields out on the pick 6. The D end stopped his rush and 85 just stopped in his tracks per play design. He should have drifted downfield to give his QB a better trajectory. Instinct vs repartition. Contend with the DB and not the D end.

Exactly,this why Fields sometimes decide to just run with it… Reminds me so much of Michael Jordan early in his career(MJ would rather shoot a difficult shot,than pass it to a teammate)
It seemed like they weren’t aggressive enough on the drive before the lions scored 31. Needed to get 3pts on that drive.
I can of fill bad for him, early this year he was so excited to be here,got a win against the the San Francisco 49ers
At this point I really hope we win 1 or 2 more. we gotta get a win or two for the culture and for Justin fields I hope we can beat the falcons and the packers but also beating the jets and packers would be nice too

@The Chicago gamer I will never cheer for us to lose, can’t do it but go watch the video Swift Sports put out today! He brought up a huge point. In 2020 when we went on that late game winning streak that was the difference of us having to trade up to get Fields. We don’t win those & we get him where we are & still got our 1st round this last year which probably would’ve been Olave!

Mitch I agree…but on the flipside of that…Johnson was clearly not able to run at 100%. I think he hurt the team. If coach comments on his oblique injury hampering him then they look bad by keeping him in there.
@Spirit of 76If the player says he can, then he’s playing. The coach can’t tell a player how he’s feeling.
Great job!it’s a rebuild year and we have gotten a lot more than most expected … a lot of ppl were non believers in poles and the new regime. Next year we are going to be playoff contenders 💯

As a bears fan, we are doing amazing on offense, getting some key stops on defense all while losing with the draft capital we have… cannot possibly ask for more!

As a Bears fan for 66 yrs I still agree with you. Even with Gale Sayers, the defense with Butkus
was better.

its up to the coaches to protect players from themselves. jaylon johnson was obviously hurt and should not have played. there is no excuse for a coach letting that happen.
If I was poles and had a top 5 pick I’d get the best 3 tech dline in the draft and sign as many oline as I can. Then draft mid round receivers that aren’t just known for being fast and punt returns. The WR class this year is stacked so some that are considered 1st rounders could fall.
Anybody else think we have 2 pro bowlers on offense Justin and teven jenkins. Teven not being in is a drastic void on our line
It’s bad how bad we need a WR1. Watch other qbs having multiple safety blankets pisses me off, while fields has maybe one guy he can kinda trust with a toss up ball

Tbh coach. It’s nice for a change to think of my team, and I can think offense first. That’s gonna be a problem for the NFL, once we get our defense right. Keep doing what yalll doing as a staff. This is great
