Detroit Lions vs. Chicago Bears | 2022 Week 10 Game Highlights – FANTASY FOOTBALL FAN SITE
PAC

DET gets their first road win in 2 years. This turned out to be a very entertaining game overall. I’m happy for DET and it was time for their fans to enjoy a win. Congrats on the win DET šŸ’Ŗ.

    KTC

@not even excluded Shut up Mr. 3-7

    eleCtrobl4ze

@Ethan K theres no way you just used madden ratings in a debate, lol. Jaylon Jones is a second or third string CB for you guys and is pretty talented. We were missing WR2 WR3 WR6 and Jameson WIlliams (although he is yet to play so I do not count him). I would consider that to be an injured receiver room.

    Ethan K

@eleCtrobl4ze ā€œsecond or third stringā€ šŸ¤£šŸ˜‚šŸ¤£šŸ¤” no actually Jaylon Jones is our 4th string corner I think I know the depth chart. It goes Jaylon Johnson, kyler Gordon, kindle vildor, Jaylon Jones. So heā€™s actually not third string. And heā€™s not talented he looked like burnt toast aka Eli apple out there he gave up multiple third downs(which I will admit one of them was not his fault but the other three were) by leaving khalif Raymond WIDE OPEN. You guys were missing one starting receiver (josh reynolds) as we were missing three of our corners šŸ’€.

    eleCtrobl4ze

@Ethan K If you look at your depth chart on ESPN, it clearly shows Jaylon Johnson as a 3rd string guy. It also shows this on the bears official website. Furthermore on the bears website it shows that Lamar Jackson is a second string corner. And you claim you were missing 3 corners when in reality the only person missing time was Vildor. As for the lions, we were missing DJ Chark (Starter), Kalif Raymond (Starter) rotational pieces in Trinity Benson and Quintez Cephus, and a surefire starter if you decide to include Jameson Williams in the group of receivers missing the game.

    Ethan K

@eleCtrobl4ze ok first off you were not missing khalif raymond šŸ¤”. Jaylon Johnson went out in the first quarter with a hamstring injury and kyler came out in the second with an ankle problem so you didnā€™t watch the game both returned in the mid 4th qt i will say. And it shows he is third string because kindle vildor is out. Kindle vildor usually starts for us on the outside and kyler plays in the slot.

bruce lau

Det gets their first road win in 2 years, very entertaining game overall, great for their fans to enjoy a dub.

    B Fabb71

Everyone feels so bad for us Lolol.. itā€™s nice to see them string together a couple big wins. Some sensated success would be cool though.

    Metal Detroit

Like the super bowl for good teams.

    zacharycat

can’t remember the last time they won 2 straight.

Detroit Made

FIELDS WINNING ME FANTASY AND LIONS WIN ME REALITY!!WHAT A DAY!!

    JeffBOAH

@STRokinbaby Okay then who is that guy? Buddy has put up 5 thirty point games in a row which is usually a rare sight for the bears and is a lot better than a lot of teams

    STRokinbaby

@JeffBOAH he lost to the Lions, the lions suck.

    JeffBOAH

@STRokinbaby My boy does he play all 22 positions or just one?

    nascar fan 88

@imirishliam no they didnt up 24 to 10 bs call on sanborn pick then bears final drive lion playr tripped a bear no call

    STRokinbaby

@JeffBOAH basically plays running back that’s about it

Sports311

It was tied at 10 at halftime, and Justin Fields was getting hot in both the run and pass to Cole Kmet. Then, Cairo Santos misses an extra point and then our defense let us down in the 4th quarter. We played well, itā€™s just that they have to learn how to finish games

    John Boehmer

    @THE FAB FIVE
I did, but that was already well documented by the original comment here. I’m just bringing balance, he was part of the problem as well as making several good plays.

    John Boehmer

See my response to Fab five.

    dj

Cole was wide open fields needs to work on tight window throws to become the real deal

    dj

@Old Man Hendo the refs let your o line hold Hutch literally all game so come to lions fans about the refs and other than 1 call yall literally committed all those penalties

Tiger Hoods

Every Lions fan watching that had a heart attack and definitely thought Fields was escaping that.

I can’t believe that happened.

    Ringa Poochnut

@Edward Moore Fields is 230 lol. He’s WAY bigger and stronger than Lamar.

    sagexus

    @Charleybones google says 6ā€™3 227 lbs

    Swiss Chocolate Cake

Lions playing for the love of the game not the salary

    Kyle Johnson

    Heā€™s bigger than Lamarā€¦.

    Slade

Whistles blew and they throw him, should have been roughing but you couldn’t count on these officials

Bklynkid52

The Lions won back to back division games! šŸ¤Æ

    Dillon Struhs

    Right!??

    F

    Crazy times we’re in

    ray brettman

I’m a Packer fan but no fan base has been as tortured as the Lions. And I know alot of those games against Green Bay down the years the Packers won, but its not like they were blowouts necessarily, sometimes the last play. Congrats, enjoy.

    Dillon6479

@Sylvieboy72 im no bills fan but he did have an elbow injury, thats a pretty valid excuse. he wasnt cleared until the last minute.

    Michael McCall

    How Bout That!!

Edgar Hernandez

I died multiple times watching this game
GOOO LIONS!!!!!!!!! šŸ¦ šŸ¦

    John Boehmer

But you’re back from the dead, just like the Lions…!

Samson Kakos

This felt so good as a lifelong Lions fan

    Ja711Bx

Thanks for giving us a better pick. Good luck with GOFF LMAO

GG Lions, hopefully we can have some great battles for the division in coming years.

    John Boehmer

    Same back atcha

    Sam Katt

This division will be fun for a while, Iā€™m just glad the Packers arenā€™t at the top. The Fields and Okudah rivalry is fun, gg šŸ¦

    Wireless User

Wishful thinking is all the lions have !! Lions put together 2 wins and everybody is celebrating ?? šŸ¤ÆšŸ¤ÆšŸ¤Æ

    John Boehmer

    @Wireless User
What a pisshead comment, EVERY fan celebrates EVERY win their team gets. Anytime you see your team improving, it’s reason to get happy. The Lions already have as many wins this year as they did last, which establishes that. At this time last year Detroit had exactly zero wins. Movin’ on up, like it or not.

NoOneImportant

Bears fan. That Hutchenson does look like a great player. Heā€™s going to be special. Lions got a great defensive player. Was all over the place all game

    Daniel Soper

@John Boehmer weak draft is an understatement even HUTCHINSON not on the same level as a chase young

    Daniel Soper

nothing like a bosa or a chase young where you see them dominate there first year. He’s a max effort guy

    R G

@Daniel Soper chase young hasnt lived up to that rookie year and bosa is just a different animal. Bosa is a walking hall of famer and a game changer.

    John Boehmer

    @Daniel Soper
I think I would agree with that assessment, however…

    Rookie season comparison

    T. TFL. S. QBhit. PD. INT. TD. FR
    Young. 44. 10. 7.5. 12. 4. 0. 1. 3
    Hutchinson. 28. 4. 5.5. 10. 1. 1. 1. 0
    Hutch (all yr. 53. 7. 10. 18. 2. 2. 2. 0
    projection)

By the numbers, they are actually very comparable, Hutch actually with a slight advantage, even when considering the advantage Hutchinson has to play an extra game. Hutchinson has also already established a solid reputation as a good run defender, I don’t know where Young is there.

    John Boehmer

    @R G
Absolutely, but still, there’s nothing wrong with 5.5 sacks, 10 QB hits, 28 tackles, an INT, a touchdown, and rock-solid run defense… All while receiving a heavy dose of double teams and mostly unpenalized holds. Truly, they are schmucks!šŸ˜

Malcolm Marshall

Bears may have lost, but Justin Fields is something special, that guy’s a ballplayer

    Shane Giofu

@Kristin Caudill If a team is managing 30+ points a game, the offense generally isn’t why they are losing.

    *StopDroolin

@Kristin Caudill you’re a f*ucking nut job! All you do is post hate towards every team anyways, Whats the point?

    Ringa Poochnut

@#1 Michigan Wolverines fan Such a stupid comment. Funny how Fields already surpassed Lamar’s best rushing game of his career in just his second season. I like Lamar a lot. Why can’t both be good players? Just dumb.

    Kai Hamasaki

@Frank Larz fields is huge compared to Lamar. If he can develop his throw then heā€™s gonna be much better than Lamar

    Kai Hamasaki

@V for Wombat one player doesnā€™t carry a football team alone. Itā€™s a team sport and the ravens have a much better
Overall team than the Bears do.

Christopher's Xbox World

Last week, the Packers, this week the Bears. I feel like a kid on Christmas morning. šŸ˜Š

    Champion

@nascar fan 88 I didnā€™t get to watch the game. I only saw the highlights here.
Which flag are you referring to?
The one when Goff ran out of bound and he got hit while out of bounds?
That flag is stands cuz he got hit out of bounds. Never suppose to hit/tackle someone while they are out of bounds.

    Jim Nasium

@nascar fan 88 even if you believe that then we’re even for the refs taking a win from the lions on the Calvin Johnson td catch. It happens, get over it

    LWalsh0

Both some of the most horrible teams in the league. As well as the lions.
Tell you what tho. The NORTH should be VERY afraid of #1 in Chicago.

    Metal Detroit

@Obvious Troll That Baited You Get past the wild card? Hell – weā€™d be happy with just making the playoffs.

    Memes

    @nascar fan 88 cry šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

JW

Letssss Gooooo!!! Defense stepped up in a big way when they needed to. Offense put a miracle together today. Great win!

    John Boehmer

That pick 6 from Okudah is exactly what the Lions have been missing, exactly what makes winning teams, when they’re able to make impact plays like that on a regular basis.

    Ben Zanabria

    Refs

Samuel Denton

Great win by the Lions. After having the worst Defense known to man those guys have tightened things up.

    cavman250

@Ben Zanabria The refs, the refs, the refs! OMG it had to be the refs! Couldn’t be anything else but the refs! lmao. We’re 3-7 because OMG, the refs cost us every game!

    Matthew Rowley

@Anthony he didn’t get body slammed at the end. He got tackled. That’s no flag. But as a Lions fan the refs always find a way

    ShmallTitties

lions deal with refs year after year

    Matthew Rowley

@Ben Zanabria no. Justin Fields gave the Lions 7

    Big Hamm

@Ben Zanabria The Lions have always been robbed by the refs so donā€™t play victim, and actually Fields and Chicagoā€™s trash defense gave us the win

Dom

Iā€™m so glad we managed to snag Jack Sanborn as a free agent. I was convinced he was going to get drafted by another team, but itā€™s been so nice watching him earn his spot and fly around making plays this season.

GG Detroit, letā€™s dethrone the other two teams and fight it out like this in the future.

    Eric Grundy

I respect your optimism! GG and Good luck! -from a lions fan

    James Ford

I don’t like that the pump-fake Goff did had no effect at all on him. When you’re chasing down a passer, and he puts his arm up as if he’s going to throw, you have to try and defend that, even if it turns out to be a fake. At least put your hands up. I’m not saying to stop rushing, mind you, but not reacting to the throw at all could lead to an actual throw being completed when you could have batted or tipped the ball and forced an incompletion. If Goff had actually had an open receiver just behind him, which Sanborn had no way of knowing if he did or not, it would have made him look very stupid for blindly rushing a QB and allowing an easy completion on a pass he could have stopped. Point is, you don’t just blindly rush a QB. You have to pay attention to when they look like they’re about to throw.

He got a bit lucky that the QB was just pump-faking this time, but this will come back to bite him sooner or later if he continues to do what he did today.

    Thomas Gena

@James Ford Apparently, Sanborn plays more instinctively than you would, James.
While your advice does have some merit, it also robs the LB of some of his closing speed, and the intimidation factor of a full-speed collision.
Also, “reads,” “tells” and “coverage responsibilities” come into play. And none of us know how (or, even whether) Sanborn is instructed to react in this specific situation versus Jared Goff.
It’s hard to find fault with a winning play — but somehow Bears fans, do find a way.

    James Ford

@Thomas Gena Never said I was a Bears fan.

Camorree Tinsley

That Justin Fields play was so good they showed it twice.

    Jake Smith

I wonder if they meant to put the play from the previous down (Hutchā€™s tackle) in, but accidentally did the fields run twice

    Puma Logo

Fields thought he was a bad a$$ until Detroit won the game šŸ˜šŸ˜..btw Fields 3 straight loss ..pricelessšŸ˜‚šŸ¤£

    Kitty Metal

I thought so too: “what, did he just score two in a row?!” šŸ¤£šŸ¤£ Sad to see the Bears lose this way in the end.

    Sir Horace

    @Puma Logo tell me youā€™re a šŸ¤” without telling me youā€™re a šŸ¤”…

'77 Buick Regal

The Detroit Lions have been down for a LOONG long time.
But when you are down… There’s just ONE way to go ā¬†ļøšŸˆšŸ‘šŸ½

    Bob Bart

Yā€™all arenā€™t going to win the division any time soon. You played bears and packers teams without any receivers and a bears team that just traded away both of itā€™s captains, and yā€™all still only beat them by 1 point. Lions only had like 70 rushing yards even without Roquan plugging the gaps.

amatos911

The last drive for the Bears breaks my heart. You cant see if anyone got open, and seeing Justin break 3 tackles trying to keep the play alive is a beautiful tragedyšŸ˜¢šŸ˜…

    Quincy Market Chowder

They need to stop showing the same play twice

    Riffy Rick

He needs to throw it up either way. A DPI a 50/50 to Kmet or Mooney, anything but a sack. I’d argue that’s his worst play of the game, worse than the pick 6.

    amatos911

    @Riffy Rick good point

ConorT

Went to my first football game last week in Detroit (from Ireland – just started following nfl this year) I feel partially responsible for the lions recent change in form šŸ’ŖšŸ»šŸ˜‚
