While serving overseas in the South Pacific, Wellington Mara’s frequent written correspondence with his parents, Tim and Lizette, and his brother, Jack, provided intimate insights and details of his military experiences in the U.S. Navy during World War II. It wasn't only until recently that the family discovered the long-lost letters, presented by Hackensack Meridian Health.

Wellington Mara wrote me a two paragraph handwritten letter on the inside of what Ill call a NY Giants Christmas card when I was 17 years old. Im 63 now and it has been framed in my den for decades.
The card that Mr Mara sent me was in response to a letter I had written to him informing him of my loyal support of the team in the very turbulent late 1970s
To this day I cant believe Wellington Mara answered me and later found out that Mr Mara answered his own mail personally.
Mr Mara also granted me a pair of season tickets. Been a season ticket holder since 1978. 44th year.
