How Impressive was the Seahawks win over the Cardinals? – FANTASY FOOTBALL FAN SITE

Their offense was on a roll, gg Seahawks

Jacob James

I mean look at it this way the Seahawks record last year at the time was like 3-6 and even got to 3-8. This season they are 1st in the nfc west, 6-3, and great playoff birth potential. I think they’re doing great.

    - Wojo -

Wow I totally forgot about that
Edit: I guess I just blocked that season out of my mind.

    Megan

    Excellent point.

Leonardo Bonilla

Crazy that the Seahawks as there division stands right now actually might win it and get into the playoffs and at the start of the season it was which young QB are they gonna get !! Carroll coach of the year him and belicheck in my opinion

    Christian Maas

@TBD 305 LMFAO youre picking the Panthers, Bucs, Raiders and Rams twice to beat a 6-3 team, bold strategy cotton lets see if it pays off

    sean haberman

@Lee Samuel you beat us back in week 2 when our defense was giving up 30 plus a game. Last 4 weeks the defense has averaged 15 points allowed and our offense is scoring 27.
You guys beat up on a sorry rams team and suddenly you’re the best team in the nfc? The 9ers are so overrated it’s not even funny anymore. People keep putting them top 10 on power rankings and if the season ended today they wouldn’t get a wild card spot. It’s a joke.

    Lee Samuel

Who have yall played yall hard half of the season is coming up and yall are ok cause yall still have dk and locket but let’s see how yall then we’ll talk

    ssjgoat27

@Lee Samuel i guess the chargers and giants are bad now. lol at the end of the day the hawks have played more teams with a winning record than the niners , and besides that we both play whos on our schedule and play the same teams execept we each play one diffrent nfc north team , one different nfc east team , and one diffrent afc east team , so hawks play jets , giants , and lions compared to the niners playing dolphins , commanders , and bears , so saying either team played a harder schedule is kinda stupid

Jonny Lopez

Very interesting segment given Kyle’s recent somewhat controversial take on Russell and his character specifically, that I had agreed with and I think is actually strengthened here to a small degree while being minimized.

    Joshster

That 🤡 Kyles Brandt recent take on Russell wasn’t anything worth bringing up. His damn feelings were hurt because he THOUGHT it was all good with him and Russ but Russ aint with that FAKE sh*t BRANDT be on. Brandt been talking Sh*t for years and expects these Athletes to still F—k w/ him … haha NOT.

And then if anything what Bro to the Right said completely contradicts what Kyle Brandt tried to say about Russ. Thats why Kyle was just ip there looking D U M B

Ott Sellis

Kurt Warner’s story is quite similar actually. Was an outcast for a very long time and then suddenly played at an MVP level. As a Hawks fan, I would love it to be the case 🙂

    Stephen Adams

Jim Plunkett, Rich Gannon, Kurt Warner, I mean……. it happens, but its far from common.

    brix1094

@Stephen Adams Kurt Warner is weird he did it pretty much twice once after the Packers cut him in 94 5 years later the 99 rams. Then his awf giants stint. Led to his Arizona resurgence..but I fell Gannon or pluckett are closest

    Leo Quin

Kurt Warner beat out Leinert who was a bust for Cards, should have started instead of Leinert, but Geno looks like he’s the future of the Hawks good luck moving forward!!

Damien WG

you cant even hate geno/carroll, such a feel good story

    Stephen Adams

Even outside of them, Harris, Woolen, Bryant, Walker, Lucas, Cross, Uwosu……. this team hit the jackpot on trades, drafts, and free agents.

Dave M

Geno’s resilience is off the charts.

FamilyDude Laughs

It’s crazy how we are doing so much better with out Wilson still have respect for him tho everything he did for us in Seattle

King Spawn

The powers of positivity are circulating through coach Carroll, gino Smith and the seattle Seahawks .

Zachary Bergman

When Russell got hurt, everybody laughed at me for saying this guy has the stuff. They thought I was crazy! Imo, I think that he’s always had that.

    scott jensen

Literally nobody said or thought this. Geno looked horrible in his opportunities last year. Sorry but I don’t believe you one bit

    KillerKhye

@scott jensen really? He had a td/int ratio of 5:1

    Randy Renner

@scott jensen sit down hater. There were a lot of us pro-Geno fans out here.

    Mark A

We are few and far between. I was saying this last year even though the games Geno played in we lost, he looked really good and the D was giving up a bit too much. He looked more consistent and competent than RW-the 3-n-out Specialist has in a few yrs. But nope, RW had to force his way back with bum thumb and continue to suck the rest of the season and resume his horrible early game performances, and occasionally rally for a come from behind because he could never get rollin until the 2nd half. I was wishin we’d unload RW for 2yrs. I was big on RW, until RW’s head got too big-contract-inflated for anyone’s good. So many positives from trading RW, including the complete demolition of the Broncos, lol.

    scott jensen

@Randy Renner well if that’s true, good on you. You must have extensive football knowledge greater than most fans and experts.

PNW_PsilocybeJedi

Props to this panel for covering the Seahawks for longer than 2 minutes like every other sports show

    Ten Minute Travel Break

yeah, its monday morning so they just doing their recap on all the games. But I do think folks are starting to notice now.

    The Gray Man

Rich Eisen has been talking about this team the last 2 weeks – calm down

    Randy Renner

@The Gray Man one guy on one show. Perhaps YOU should calm down. 🤔

    Mr.MosesLuz

You kinda have to…they are dominating on all levels.

    TheFunkytownGotcha

    winning helps

RyansuBike

Another long time back up who had a break out year -Case Keenum with the Vikings maybe? As a Hawks fan I am loving this, Sehr Gut!

Cee Bee

Running back, Walker, what a find for Seahawks!!!

Lee Smith

geno hasn’t made many mistakes this year, making good throws in tight spaces, moving the chains efficiently and getting good protection. the seasons draft has been executed perfectly, made great picks to fill holes and some over performing. I thought we would struggle but the way they play as a team. I’m excited for the possibility next year aswell. any qb will love this offense, lockett, metcalf, fant, dissly and walker, we can hit from anywhere

    Phoenixxx

I’m a seahawks fan and that pic 6 was really the only mistake , other then that he’s been elite , any team would be lucky to have him

    Dy2gwapo

    Thats a lie

    Stephen Adams

    @Dy2gwapo How so?

    Alex G

I wouldn’t say that Geno hasn’t made mistakes, but the fact that he doesn’t cave in after a mistake like the pick-6 yesterday is evidence that Geno & the seahawks are no longer afraid of making mistakes because they always make up for it this season. It’s great to see that they play with confidence, not arrogance 🤘

What really killed drives for Seattle to start the season was their lack of discipline. The defense was giving up roughly 30 pts per game in the first 4 games of the year, and they kept making all sorts of errors and sloppy plays that led to penalties, backing up the offense or giving opponents a fresh set of downs. Since that shootout game versus the Lions, things have really turned around because of the defensive discipline – limit their mistakes, keep the coverage in front of them, better tackling, and better pressure up front. Their offense is also controlling the clock – this game had some long drives that ended with scoring plays to keep them in front. Really impressive work for a young roster.

That discipline is what Arizona has lacked, both offensively and defensively. This is the second time the Cardinals have matched up against the Seahawks in under a month, and in both games, Kyler has turned the ball over on a last down scramble drill, because he doesn’t take care of the ball. This is the second time their third down efficiency was sluggish, and they were 0 for 2 on 4th down attempts. Most of their stats from the previous Seattle game have either stayed consistent or dipped, which shows that one team is on an upward trajectory, while the other is stuck in neutral. For a roster this loaded with talent, there’s no excuse for the Cards to stall out like they have.

    Andi S

Seahawk offense also discipline, they all know how to avoid HOLDING pinalty that cause 10 yard back, making life harder and loosing momentum. If you see DK trying to help blocking, he knows not to directly body contact but just disturb opponent run little bit which is enough.

    you trippin shorddy

The saints game was still bad. It was the arizona game where we stepped up for good

Jorgen dahl

Geno looked good last year when Russ went down. Just listening to the coaches, they knew Smith would and could do the job but benching Russ would get them fired. Solution was to get as much as they could for Wilson in a trade and let Geno take the reigns. All the so called prognosticators wrote the Hawks off, but they wrote the Hawks off in 2012 when they selected Wilson in the 3rd round then made him the starter over Flynn. You would think they would have learned to be a little less full of themselves.

    W S

You nailed it. And I couldn’t believe all the people with panic after the trade, when Geno’s stats were the same or better than Russ (albeit fewer games) last year. People believe the narrative instead of even their own eyes. And saying a guy is the same player he was 10 years ago, in a different system and culture, is really kind of silly.
Would we want people to judge us on how we were on the job at age 22 fresh out of college, or on how we are now with experience and some wisdom under our belt?

    DownSouth Bent

    🤝🏾

wolley2012

Geno looks good. It’s nice to have a QB who can see the field without a 12 yard drop back every play.

    Vistarry

Yeah, I’m so excited for the rest of this season

    Nomad Keller

How about some parallels between geno Smith and Doug Williams for the 1987 Redskins????

Christian Maas

Geno Smith is literally a 6’3 Doug Flutie. Doug Flutie was benched and went to the CFL for 8 years, won CBPOY his first year back in the league. Geno was a backup for 8 years, you know where I’m going with this

Jerry Yoon

I’m liking how guys who have played w Russell are now opening up and being very candid about who he really is as a person behind the scenes. KJ, Sherm and now this German guy on the above show. This segment is prob the most significant insight on Russell’s personality: He is truly a quirky guy and just got to understand that about him. Fine. He is a wierd guy and a lot of people may not like him. At the end of thr day, I’m still appreciative for what he did for the Seahawks and the City of Seattle so I just hope people lay off him already because the media is just desrroying his existence to the point where it’s just unfair. Fine, he wanted more control in Seattle and wanted to get treated like the greats. Pete and Schneider don’t roll like that; No room for primadonas in Seahawks. We moved on from him and got a banging team now. Let’s leave Russell alone now and all move on…

    Phillip Isayev

Russell was a good guy, even if you take photos and post them of every hospital visit it’s still a hospital visit to children! For 10 years he would go EVERY Tuesday to a childrens hospital to visit the kids. He had tons of fundraisers and campaigns. Even if it was all for show it doesn’t take away the fact that he did all those things for our city.

Peter Jones

I’ve seen so many videos on YouTube praising Geno for his amazing performance after basically sitting on the bench for 10 years and I wonder if he spends much time watching them and how it’s affecting his confidence. As a Seahawk fan from the team’s inception I’m overwhelmed and ecstatic to see this Cinderella story unfold after everyone thought the Seahawks would be terrible this year and in a rebuilding stage. Go Hawks!!
