1998…Randy Mosses rookie year-Gary Anderson’s missed field goal
Early 2000s when they got blown out by the Giants 41-0 but it was the NFC Championship game.
2009-Brett Favre season. Saints Bounty Gate scandal.
2017-lost 38-7 to the Eagles after the “minneapolis Miracle” Keenum to Diggs TD.
All 4 examples I gave were the NFC championship game. That is more than just one win in the playoffs and all were after the 1980s.
2 appearances were blowouts and the other 2 came down to the last drive/a field goal kick.

I agree the likelihood of them doing much if anything THIS season in the post season is unlikely but know what you are talking about before spewing BS lies.

@Jack Roberts I’d argue that change is actually the Hockensen trade. That man is a whole different kind of match up nightmare for a defense. You put him and JJ on the same side you either leave Jefferson alone with a corner back or Hoch alone with a linebacker. You put them on opposite sides now both safeties are tied up giving help. We already saw it today. Justin was single covered in the endzone. Adam was finding huge swaths of open field…. against a very good defense and TJ’s only been here for 3 days. It’s just such a mismatch to put JJ and TJ out there.

If the line can protect, the offense is now, or IMO soon to be, elite. That gives the team identity. Offense leads the way, the veteran led defense concentrates on big plays and turnovers.

@KINGatGOTA Right. But the Vikings are having close games EVERY week. In most of them, these are games they could be putting away early, and instead due to sloppy play, they’re allowing their opponents to hang around, and having it come down to the final possession. All it takes is one bad break and it change a win into a loss.

Today was an exception, they were going to lose today. This is the kinda game you can feel good about a narrow win, when you come from behind and steal one. They couldn’t get their offense going after the first drive, Kirk was taking hits did great hanging in there. It took the defense getting a turnover on the 10 yard line for them to get another TD.

Washington laid down the blueprint for how to stop the Vikes offense with getting interior pressure and stop the run/short passes. They just didn’t have the personnel to score enough points. The Bills, Jets, Cowboys will

I agree, as a Vikings fan they played a solid commanders defense yesterday, even JJ said it was a tough dub and I mean tough dub. Somehow they call the illegal touching on the center for us (which it was) but in the rams game yesterday they completely let the one slide with Wagner or whoever jumped the center. I thought it was an interesting call

The back judge position has 2 rules. Don’t let anyone get behind you, and don’t interfere in the play. He lost on both of those rules that play. I understand about seniority, but those positions must be filled with athletic guys who can run. Not old timers who have been doing it for 30 years.

Not as a Packers fan but through life I have stopped saying the word ‘hope” in sentences. Maybe it’s been a tough life the past ten but we (Packers) was the toughest team last year. Doesn’t mean the best team will win the SB necessarily but would be something special for your situation as a Vikings fan. I aim for greater things to happen in my life with or without the Packers. With that being said we will meet in the playoffs. Keep winning Vikes. Mark my words ese.
