Sam hit on 2 out of 3 big throws.
Sam avoided pressure, which is necessary with a struggling line.
Sam opens up running lanes for Jonathan Taylor and the running game with Run Pass Option plays, which Reich loves calling.
Sam is very good for this team, and gives them a chance to make the playoffs which is all that matters.
Very promising first start, and very positive leadership.

    KingKracker

yup, fits the scheme better than wentz! cuz sammy activly takes care of the ball.

    Onyx Racing

@Lee33 Sam is HIM and if you don’t agree you’re just a hater

    Lee33

@SET ALIGHT His first start was average, not good.

    SET ALIGHT

@Lee33 bro literally played better than a lot of the first round rookies in recent years his first game

    Nicholas Derickson

@Lee33 that’s a lot to do with a horrible pash rush and safe play calling. That catch mclaurin made inside the 5 only happened a cause the route broke down and Washington had forever to throw. Sam was throwing good and got us the lead. Watch the game again.

Sam is out first QB in a while that is not over the age of 30( I know Carson is in his twenties but I’m pretty sure it’s his late twenties

    David Brownburner

    No early 20s bro

    Daniel Mustang

@David Brownburner Carson? he turns 30 this year. he was 28/29 while playing for us. That’s late 20s compared to Sam who just turned 24.

    David Brownburner

@Daniel Mustang no I meant Sam I must be Dyslexic because I my brain won’t alloe me to read Carson Wentz name. My bad and boy oh boy he sucked

    Daniel Mustang

    @David Brownburner agreed lol

    BORN AGAIN

@Daniel Mustang can’t believe how refreshing it is to not have him here in Indy

Kevin Hellard

Cheering for you Sam! Hopeful and pumped

Haze Lehgo

Sam is da future, dude is good

    John Williams

If the future is this week, then yes. No I sides to know how good a player is after just 1 week.

    Cody Boyce

    What? Sam I great

MightyMac21

Facing a BB defense is gonna be a real test for Sam. I’m sure he can keep this up and no matter what, it will be a great thing for his development!

Mike Kelso. Jr

Go Sam Go Colts !! 👍😊

JStrauD | Tech & Gaming

His sense of awareness in the pocket is very refreshing to watch. Dudes got eyes on the back of his head

    Chris Chan

He’s used to the crappy lines we had at Texas 😝

    Elijah White

Agreed. He does have a few instances where he is moving too much in the pocket when it isn’t needed. If he can get better at evading the pressure and then setting his feet rather always on the run he can make some more big time plays

Cowboys fan, longhorns fan, spurs fan

    @Chris Chan ikr

Ricardo

Kinda glad Sam is in there trying his best because you know that this last half of the season is going to show who the real dawgs are in this team

EMGTank

I believe he got it he going get us somewhere

Adam Lutz

Sam did just fine

Deven Taber

“It comes down to having a routine that stays the same regardless of the circumstance” gem from Ehlinger

Stubbo242

I can tell he is quickly becoming a fan favorite

Colton Francisco

Sam is one of the only guys right now that I can confidently say he’s proud to be a Colt. It just feels like the team has had a sour taste in their mouth and I hope they can turn it around and become something

Eightyoneduce

Let’s just move the ball, keep the offense rolling completions and positive yards on 1st an 2nd down. You got this

    BORN AGAIN

We gotta keep them chains movin’

Harry Dunkelberger

I’m a Commanders fan, but rooting for Sam I think he is a massive upgrade over Matt Ryan, hoping they pull out a win on Sunday

BhBraaq

Sam was solid. He wasn’t perfect but he showed he can play in this league

Jason Lain Music

That hat should be our new logo, I’m all for a rebuild Jimmy and a new logo

Emilio Sandoval

Sam is the long term answer at QB

Johnathan Drennon

At this point I don’t care about the coaches anymore. I don’t care about the players we’ve paid or the ones we might lose to free agency. But if this team doesn’t stick with Sam moving forward, then every single one should be fired. He’s a breath of fresh air and I think he has what it takes to be a champion. Build around him! He has fantastic pocket awareness, a really strong arm, a winning instinct, he’s a dynamic leader, he seems to be incredibly intelligent. I think the only knock on him is his size. He’s only 6’1″ and some would say that’s a bit small for a qb. Drew Brees would beg to differ. I’m not saying Sam is on Drew’s level yet, but I think he has what it takes to get there.

Sam, to win a football game… win the line of scrimmage and earn a W. It has been that way from the beginning. Keep working the line.
