@NOTORIOUS0604 doesnt matter the scheme. He run blocks and pass blocks. That makes him an immediate value.

These are his friends in the locker room. None of them are just gonna throw their friend under the bus.

I actually like to hear that from the players. Goes to show how much respect they all have for their teammates. We as fans can look from the outside and see that it’s a clear upgrade but I love that they stand by and build up their guys.

Don’t worry, everyone knows Hock is better. Try not to worry about such trivial things lol.

On NFL network I forget the idiots name but I believe he said Justin Jefferson is not playing at his elite level the last weeks lol another guy said TJ Hockenson changes nothing. @Robert Johnson I’m betting on the Vikes to win the NFC and SB every week because I think in a week or two the penny will drop with the national media that this Vikes 6-1 Vikes team has played closer to it’s floor than it’s ceiling to date. I think the D has played better every week, and last week was the 1st really solid week for the offence. Kirk’s fumble and a couple of Kyler hail Mary’s made that look closer than it was.
Some folks also talk about the Vikes only beating sub .500 teams, but seem to undervalue how desperate some of those teams are too. The Vikes might nearly have ended the Saints and Cards playoff chances.

Re Hockenson, I’m a huge Irv Smith fan and was enjoying his steady ascension into form, after missing all of last year, and then key weeks of practice in the pre-season – so I’m gutted for him that he is injured again. Prior to that I was hoping for Claypool as a big bodied WR, and match up option we didn’t currently have.
I think Hockenson will be great and finally gives us that 6’5″ option. I had started hoping that we would draft 6’7″ Darnell Washington in the 2023 draft – but TJ takes that off the agenda. I think TJ will unlock JJ again, and give Thielen a Cook a lot more room than Irv could. TJ is definitely an upgrade, and I would love to see Reagor slip into the offence a lot more too with his speed an elusiveness.
KO now has a full box of tricks to play with, and can create any mismatch he wants from week to week.
I think the probability that Irv will return in the run up to the playoffs is also a bit undersold right now. Think of the match up problems that a combination of JJ, TJ, Reagor, Irv and Cook would provide.
Or TJ and Irv with JJ and AT against a shorter secondary group etc.
One last move – Kwesi to sign OBJ for another playoff run with OConnell?

@Rob E Kwesi made a telling comment when he said I don’t want to mess up the chemistry in what we have currently but TJ was a great addition that would not threaten the chemistry of the locker room. I think he meant if we add a WR it might mess with Adam Thielen and KJ Osborn’s production and effect the play so I’m not so sure. I think we are set plus he wants to keep Nailor on the roster they love him for down the road and they want Jalen Reagor as our PR guy so adding OBJ might not be happening. It also all depends on injury etc if Adam were to go down or KJ then no doubt they will explore that option but right now I think the team is set.
