@Sir Rooster That’s effectively saying what “you are what your record says you are”. Bills opponent record is a cumulative 28-26, Eagles 26-29. Bills are averaging 29 ppg to 14 allowed, Eagles 28-17. Bills defeated the Chiefs and Ravens on the road while their one common opponent the Steelers in effect was 38-3, which was the score midway through the 3rd quarter, vs 35-13. That’s why the Bills at this moment are the better team quantifying for variables. 15.77 vs 9.74 according to the simple ranking system accounting for margin of victory plus or minus per game plus or minus margin of victory of your average opponent, that’s the gap. According to that stat the Bills score 15.77 points more than the league average adjusting for other variables. It’s flawed but the eye test tells me the Bills are on another level at the moment.

@just forfun Beating the Chiefs and Baltimore on the road is an impressive feat. We can throw in the 5-2 Titans who they beat by 34. I’d say those are more impressive victories than defeating the Cooper Rush lead cowboys and an uninspiring Vikings team. I don’t know why it’s sacrilegious to call the Eagles the 2nd best team in the NFL.

Been telling my Eagles fans friends this since they drafted Hurts. The man is an absolute stud. I watch a ton of college football and sometimes you just know someone is going to transition well into the NFL. Hurts is a wizard on the ground and in the air, he just needed someone reliable to throw it to.

With the revised strength of schedule (based off of win percentage through week 8) the eagles have the 14th hardest schedule so this argument of “easy schedule” doesn’t stand, plus you still have to beat these so called “weak” teams
Exactly. Some of these people squealing about an easy schedule haven’t bothered to think past preseason. No one would’ve even said “the Giants could potentially beat the Eagles with a good game plan” without getting laughed at before the season got going.

Either the Bills and Chiefs take a nose dive or they play comparable vs their common opponents.
NFC is very weak so their path to the #1 seed and Superbowl is a slam dunk as long as they split with the Giants and Cowboys.

@AmarNathan The AFC was stacked from 2001-08. In 2004 14 wins gives you the #2 seed, 12 wins gave you a 3rd & 4th. The 2010’s that was generally the case.
The Pats had a cupcake division they could sleepwalk through and the only legit, steady AFC competition was wherever Peyton Manning suited up. Doesn’t change the fact they were a legit dynasty.

The Cowboys left Dak and most starters in until the 4th quarter at the end of last year. God awful analysis from someone who is supposed to talk football everyday.
What most people don’t talk about is the turnover differential. The Eagles are +14 in turnover differential. The next closest are +6

The two giveaways were also balls that bounced out of receiver hands and were easy to pluck out of the air

@Just My Thoughts there has to be some kind of context for stats like that. Idk if you remember last year but Goedert dropped a ball and it bounced off his heel right into a defenders hands. That shouldn’t count against a QB but does all the time

As a all time eagles fan. Jalen ain’t that good yet. He is good but not great. I love the dude but he does have to work on decisions and not turning the ball over on great opportunities. The Steelers game was good but I just don’t feel like that was his greatest. He is going to be better than that. This guy is going to be on the hall of fame one day. He will throw better in the years. He will make great plays on himself just like Vick and Foles. Guy is already playing high level but his arm will extend. Watch and see… blah blah blah.
