I think it’s a fair question being the fact that Brett worked for Andy as a assistant coach and he left the Chiefs facility under the influence the night of the crash.

Got to feel for Andy. Having to get up there and address his son’s situation…and still prepare to coach a primetime game against another 1st place team.
As a father of four grown daughters, I’ve certainly made my mistakes. Tough to imagine what it’s like having every parenting decision scrutinized just because you are a high profile NFL personality.

Dont let it get you down. I’m sure all competent authorities (police, magistrates, judges) have done their job. A speedy recovery and fast rebound to all parties including Britt Reid.
Not sure this season has a chance with the rookies in the secondary. We just do not have the weapons with experience to win the playoffs this year. You have to have a leader in all areas of the game or mistakes will eat you up. We need the experience who can look at an offenses set and know which side no 1 reciever is going. Otherwise there are 5 QBs that can pick us apart. When a DB lays back off the line on a 3rd a 1or2 that tells a QB there is a rookie in that position.
And who, pray tell, is “we”? Cuz u comment like you’re a Chief fan but u sure don’t sound like one!

Andy certainly doesn’t need to comment about his son. His son is old enough that he should be able to make his own decisions and take his own path. It’s disgraceful what he did, and it’s a shame he will effectively only serve 1 year when that child lost everything.
Andy handled it professionally. The “journalist” should have been more respectful and adhered to Andy’s wishes. Bad move on the “journalist’s” part. And Andy’s 100% right: Leave your personal life at home and talk about professional life at work. He certainly put his “dad” hat on as if he was calmly dealing with a petulant child. He’s been through enough in his life as a dad to have Mr. Taylor call him on it. Karma, Mr. Taylor. Karma.
