Del dicho al echo hay mucho trecho
12-5*
Claro que si arriba los Broncos 🧡
Honestly, this was best, we got a first rounder to improve ourselves and I don’t think we would see Chubb get too much success here. It’s best for him to get a fresh start❤
@Dr. Van Nostrand So injury comes into play? Randy Gregory and B. Browning, Boles , Tim Patrick. Should we all get them trade away to. smh
@God’sNotDead 00 those are all their first injuries. Chubb has had multiple injuries. Went 10 games straight last year without a sack and didn’t get a sack in the past 3 games. And is gonna get paid 20 million plus a year. Not worth it. Love the guy but it’s such a smart move by George. There’s a eeason we got the best grade out of all these trades. George knows what he’s doing
@God’sNotDead 00 Yes, injuries come into play when signing and trading players… I don’t think that is a new concept. I never said trade half the team but if you can get good value for a guy who’s been hurt half his career, you don’t want to pay, and you’ve been investing in his potential replacements then you have to take that trade every time.
@Alex Bowerman Yes! because Chubb never was fully recovery from his ACL. But we will find out soon how healthy Randy, Browning will be? Showing promising but not a player Chubb caliber is yet.
@God’sNotDead 00 I mean that’s kind of an excuse. I get acl tears take awhile to recover from but chubb isn’t a von Miller by any means and we got a 1st and 4th and a running back. He’s not worth 20 million a year. I’m not worried about browning staying healthy. Gregory I am but chubb only has 26 sacks in the 50 games he played for us. Rhats not 20 million dollars worthy. We have nik Bonito we drafted last year and browning is special. If chubb stays healthy and get on von miller’s level then ya we probably made the wrong move. But I have no faith in him staying healthy and he goes on spurts where he doesn’t get any sacks. I forgot he was on our team the past few weeks. Gregory when healthy is better than chubb when healthy
I’m glad they traded Chubb, they should’ve drafted Josh Allen outta the university Wyoming I heard he’s doing pretty good with the Buffalo Bills!
With how impatient our fan base is Josh Allen would have been run out of town the same year he was drafted. RELAX!
Exactly,,Allen would be playing in Canada, with Johnny Manziel, Paxton Lynch..
That’s why I said draft is overrated..
Enigma so correct, they should’ve drafted Josh Allen.
Never pass over a potential franchise QB for a edge rusher. That was a bad move by Elway at the time when the Broncos needed a QB. But to the naysayers, I bet the top offensive minds would have come to Denver with a guy like Allen on the roster.
The price the Broncos will pay for Wilson! A blockbuster trade like Wilson’s rarely works out and can decimate an NFL franchise. Finding a QB in the draft is the only way to go–except of course, when one of the best QBs ever gets released with a few good years left.
@John-Paul C 30% is not that unusual for a quarterback. And the cap is going to go up so your percentage is going to go down.
@Stevie Sevieria Interestingly – you will find Wilson’s contract is a low CAP number this year and so-so next – but then explodes in year 3-5….which happens to be the range of when key new contracts will be coming due.
Lol three of the last super bowl winning quarterbacks were not drafted by the team that they won with. So that premise is false. This isn’t about the Wilson deal. It’s about the Randy Gregory deal and how you allocate cap space when you have good young players behind a guy like bradley. I like Bradley the player I like Bradley the person but he is very injury prone. And Jones is up this year as well. And there’s not nearly the depth behind Jones that there is behind Chubb
@Joel Stevens You mean 2…and that was Brady (who give his teams mega good deals) and Stafford who is working on a non-mega deal right now as well. How about this, add up all the Superbowls in the last 10 years and tell me how many teams won with QBs on mega-deals.
@John-Paul C nope I mean three. Pretty sure our Broncos didn’t draft Peyton manning. And he got a massive deal at the time especially for where he was at in his career and coming off of injury. Of course you want to build through the draft. But how many truly franchise quarterbacks are in the league? There are probably 10 that are difference makers the other ones below that are younger and you’re trying to figure out if they’re going to be your franchise guy and then everybody else are just journeyman or just a guy. If you don’t have a good quarterback at your draft slot like we didn’t win Justin fields and Mac were available a couple years ago you don’t just go pick them because you have to pick a quarterback top 10. The interesting thing about drafting most of those quarterbacks is that you have to get them in the top 10 to 12 picks. Now there are a few outliers but for the most part if you’re not drafting a guy in those top 10 slots or so you’re probably not getting your future franchise quarterback. Also I am a huge draft fan. The draft typically Falls right around my birthday everybody in my family knows that it’s a holiday for me and to leave me alone for 3 days. But at the same time there’s never been a perfect prospect other than John elway and Andrew luck. There’s a certain amount of risk. So if I can mitigate that risk by getting a guy who’s a super bowl winner and been a perennial pro bowler and been a winner everywhere he’s been since college then I’m willing to take that risk for what the Broncos gave up. I’m still not convinced that the problem is with Russ beyond the fact that he’s been hurt. I think this coaching staff needs a ton of work. I apologize for the long reply
Chub is a great player but hurt alot. We have 3 guys that can replace him now. He was going to cost a fortune. Now draft a great player with a rookie contract.
@Joel Stevens when baron and Gregory come back we should be doing alright
You can’t replace a Pro Bowl top 3 Pass rusher. They don’t grow on trees. You got to pay for guys of this calibre. Not even Randy Gregory is on Chubb’s level.
This is a direct result of the Russell Wilson trade which right now… going into Week 9 bye, is a bust. If we didn’t give away the farm for Wilson, then we don’t sell Chubb.
It is all about Russell now
@Sam Cetron true dat
@James Rose Estate Agent false, this is about the Gregory deal. You can’t have multiple players at the same position with top Dollar deals who both have injury concerns. It’s also about the depth at the position with Browning and Cooper and Nik bonito. You also have to think long-term. They have to sign Jones this offseason Surtain is coming up in a couple years. Lots of other factors.
I am so freaking pumped on how Greg Dulcich has performed!!!!💪💯🤔 This young man is going to terrorize the nfl
Excited at his potential.
Only if we actually throw him the ball…unlike what we did with Noah Fant and Albert O.
Super Bowl this year? Dream on! I like the trade though 😊
Toilet bowl is about what you goanna get out of the Broncos.
We needed a high draft pick and we can replace Chubb. Get some O- Line help and a real 1RB. We need to focus on improving our offense
@Jay Middleton < this
We don’t have anyone of Bradley’s calibre yet we are trying to fix a bad business we did to get Russ Wilson who so far is a shadow of his former successful self. Paton is now scratching around for draft picks after trading the farm 🚜 to get Wilson. Chubb’s salary is expensive however he’s a Top 3 in the league Pro Bowl Rusher. Why did we buy Gregory if we could just keep Chubb?
@James Rose Estate Agent Too harsh on Wilson, too high on Chubb. In other news, What’s the real estate market going to be like in six months? No I’m serious… I’m co owning one property and considering selling another and shopping elsewhere. Totally confused as to whether it’s smarter to sell now before the market drops more, or hang on…
Is javonte not a real rb1
@Stevie Sevieria personally I have tried to be positive of the Wilson trade for some time however it’s just a bad financial decision that has ramifications for the rest of the squad. Case in point, we lose Chubb because we bought Randy Gregory who ironically, is injured which is the only thing we can pick on Chubb about. As per the Real Estate market, it really depends where you live however a recession is coming friend. It’s only a matter of time. The RBA has made some pretty bad “bold” predictions over the last couple years. If you are Australia, the LNP sat on its hands for prior to COVID as the RBA pleaded for them to raise rates. Now we have a change of government, we have a rapid knee jerk reaction to inflation. There will be some pain to be had over the coming 12-36 months I will say that. If you are in the US, we all pray for you as your president is absent and asleep at the wheel. Despite being a bit of a lunatic, Trump had the US going in the right direction and nobody f**ked with America when he was in power. Those are just the facts and opinion will be divided.
Good luck dear friend Bradley It was nice to meet you in Mexico City when you came to the autograph signing, I hope it goes well wherever you go
Miami
@Keith Dannebohm lose., but I put anywhere., because that is how it happened to Von Miller., he went to Los Angeles and now he is in Buffalo., my message is like this because he will no longer return to our team
Smart move by Paton. (Another smart move.) Chubb is a beast — but never lived up to his potential. Demarcus Ware and von Miller were ALWAYS in position to make a play and NEVER lost contain on the edge. The same cannot be said for Chubb. He is often out of position — and fails to make plays for this reason. Denver can use the number one pick to fix the OL in the next draft. Still, Chubb will help the Dolphins make the playoffs. Go Broncos!
That’s what they all said about Von Miller…. ok!
@God’sNotDead 00 letting go of Miller was still the right idea. You can only afford to “pay the man” when you’re NOT paying other men.
@God’sNotDead 00 Miller was leaving us anyways dumb dumb lol
@Alex Bowerman Yeah… because again we want to low ball Miller. dumb dumb. lol
That’s the problem we still don’t have a premier quarterback but we paid him like one
Walmart family wanna buy us Sean Payton? Hackett is the real problem
It’s a great trade, but it’s gonna be sad to see Chubb go. He was a monster when he was healthy and I wish him the best in Miami. Hopefully we’re able to get the best pick possible next year. Let’s finish the season strong Broncos Country!
9-8
For those that think this was a good deal are very short sighted. We bought Randy Gregory who’s cap hit is $16m+ a year for the next 3 years. Add in a $28 mill signing bonus and you have a guy who isn’t as good as Chubb. Why didn’t we just keep Chubb in the beginning?
Because Chubb is always injured and when he plays he’s above average at best. He was drafted to be the next Von Miller and he never lived up to his full potential. It for the best that we got the value we did for him because he was in a contract year, and how much money do you give to a player who’s just above average.
WE NEED TO DRAFT BLAKE CORRUM! He would compliment javonte so well
Wondering what John Elway thinks about this season!
Chubb goes to my 2nd team (tua fan in college) AND we get the San fran pick so I don’t have to hope dolphins start sucking!! Imma miss chubb but this is the best trade outcome i could ask for
Happy for Chubb… He has a better future at Miami
Una lastima que Bradley Chubb sé valla a otro equipo, tenía todo para seguir en él equipo pero en fin espero que Broncos consiga otro grande de su misma capacidad. 🏈🐎
2 years in a row Broncos get rid of a big pass rusher & fan favorite. Go out & buy a jersey & the guy isn’t there next year. No more career long players with teams anymore.
The players demanding trades aren’t getting them. The players who say they love the team & hope to stay there long term, get traded! WTH?
I see the decisions made by Paton as giving up in this year & trying to get draft picks. Why keep a proven player when you can possibly get a high draft pick that may not even be NFL ready!
