For the people who think this was a bad idea, Roquan did not want to stay with Chicago and he wanted to be paid way to much money

I couldn’t agree more with this statement! In years past, it seemed like our rookies barely played outside of 1st round picks. His rookie draft class is performing well, kudos to the coaches in getting them understanding the game.

@Johnny Chimpo Ro got fat and lost a step. He only has good numbers because our offense can’t stay on the field the past 2-3 years.(which means more stats) . Is Ro good? Absolutely, but not amazing. Not like the bears are one LB away from winning the SB. You have your blinders on and aren’t looking at the future.
@Mr. McMagpie ask his teammates if he is amazing or just “good”. Ask his new GM what he thinks of him and his new coaches. Their fan base is thrilled to have him and ours will be regretting it
@Johnny Chimpo I’ll say again if you decided not to finish what I wrote. His stats are inflated because of how bad our offense has been. If you can’t even accept that, there is no conversation to be had.

Poles and Eberflus are completely different than the last clowns. Roquan wanted too much money.
The old Bears would have paid him and over paid Roquan at that. Poles understands it’s all about supporting Fields first and foremost.

I hope claypool works but who cares, honestly I’m just glad we got a GM who is competent, has a plan and is brave enough to commit fully it’s execution. We going be just fine. I am nervous about the draft though we are going to have to ace it a couple years in a row to become elite

Never in my life have I seen a Bears GM make good moves like this that makes sense. Now Poles has to hit in next years draft. It’s been a while that I’ve been this excited in the Bears. Bear Down!!!

Bears fan for 59 years and I’m excited about the future. Losing Roquan is a little puzzling presently but picking up Claypool is a great plus for our offense. Even though it’s early, GM Poles reminds me somewhat of Jim Finks. Finks was instrumental in our Bears success in the ’80’s. There is definitely success on the horizon.
