My new nickname for Tony Pollard… the “Texas Chainsaw” cuz he cuts so easily, and it could be a massacre for any defense.
Chicago qb suckered the Cowboys whenever they committed to the pass, thats how they got most of theyre yards, Qb running out of the pocket.
They had some runs too. This run defense is weird. It seems we either stuff them, or they gash us for a first down.
Honestly, that gives me hope though. There is enough talent TO stuff RBs a lot. If we were just being pushed around on the line and consistently pounded for yards, Id be worried. We can make plays vs the run, but I just think we need better LB play.
LVE just never seems to make a play around the line of scrimmage to me. Its always five or more yards downfield. Need a lil better recognition from him, and that position needs improved next year. If this team had a side to side tackling machine MLB, it would be NASTY.
Pollard over Zeke all day long
There was some talented guys out there, but today, Tony Pollard was the best football player on that field.
While it was smart to save him, it would gave been nice to see another eight carries or so. Unbelievable how no matter how little he touches the ball, he seems to always get one homerun play a game.
Zekes contract this offseason will be interesting. Maybe he redoes it, maybe hes cut, but you cant let Tony Pollard go. Hes not going to break the bank, but he will get a big raise.
Gotta do it though.
