People give big Mike crap, but after Jason Garrett, I’m enjoying McCarthy’s tenure. I think he’s a pretty good coach
@Bradley Love I never said I liked Garrett more than McCarthy. Read my comment more clearly. At no point did I make an argument for Garrett over McCarthy, just that I liked him and wish he would have gotten the team a bit further than a divisional win (twice). So far he has a better record in the Playoffs with the Cowboys than McCarthy, but I do believe McCarthy can get us past the finish line, he just hasn’t done it yet, and up to this point Garrett has more playoff wins (with Dallas) than McCarthy.
@Rory King I liked Garrett a lot. There’s some things he did well but I look back at some of those teams and laugh that I thought they had a chance. MM is waaay better at developing talent. We used to freak out over one injury and have guys basically sit the bench for years

I noticed you went right past all that and straight to ‘bro, bro, read my comment better.’ Funny how you didn’t refute anything I said about Garrett and just tried to take the easy way out by making it seem like I wasn’t understanding. I made some actual points about why I think he was a bad coach. You didn’t have anything to say about that 😂 He was a BAD COACH. That’s why he only got 2 playoff wins.
If you want to like him on a personal level because he was soft and nice to the players, great. Go ahead. I’m talking about football, the thread was started to talk about football, and Jason Garrett is a bad football coach. End of story.

I’m very happy with todays win, I can’t make too many negatives about the game other than that the Run defense is a weakness and needs to be buttoned up in the bye week.
If we could ever stop the run game we would be unbeatable! Fix this in your bye week!

Mccarthy always seems a genuine likeable person, hope for his sake they beat the Packers
Same here i got that game circled
Dak looked like a #1 QB today, CeeDee looked like a #1 receiver today and Pollard looked like a #1 RB, but Cowboys also need Zeke for the tough yards, short yardage and blocking.
My biggest concern however is that the Cowboys run defense needs to get much better if they want to be a serious contender for the SB.
The team has a helluva run when they get back from the bye. 3 games against tough teams in 11 days is brutal.
Alot of people have ragged Coach McCarthy since taking over in Dallas, but I believe he’s done an excellent job adjusting to the environment. He’s done the unthinkable and that’s take full command of a team while having Jerry Jones constantly lingering over his shoulder. It reminds me of a relationship between an older Uncle and his nephew. At the end of the day Mike has to make decisions that’s going to best benefit him and his team despite whatever Uncle Jerry says
