They losing the fans game by game

๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ you sound like a fan from California. No matter the sport, they cut bait if team isnโ€™t competing for a championship.. Iโ€™m a jags fan because Iโ€™m a Clemson fan. They are? 15 points from being undefeated? Your QB is just 23 years old? Joe B is 26! Think what TL would be doing if he were still back at Clemson. Iโ€™m not keen on loosing but Iโ€™m enjoying the progress. Jags are not like Rams who buy Super Bowls.. Sell their future for one season.. give it a few years๐Ÿ‘ A few more pieces and a little more experience.

Yep an pretty soon fans wonโ€™t have anything to do with it but anyone who plays football or does anything that puts wear and tear on your body understand that you take the responsibility for it welcome everyone to real life

justincredubil

The arguments you guys make for trading away J-Rob are the exact reasons he should not have been traded.

Pederson wants to be aggressive and go for it on 3rd/4th and short/goal – Etienne is not the guy. J-Rob pounds that line and gets that yard. Etienne is too small, and got absolutely bodied in this exact situation, and it ended up being a reason the Jags lost.

justincredubil

And the worst part about this trade is the return. We gave away a 4th round pick for Carlos Hyde. J-Rob is worth FAR more than a conditional 5th. Baalke unloaded him to a team in need for a RB a week before the deadline for an absolute crap return.

    NOU GAMES

I agree with your point 100% but we gave up a 5th for Hyde

    904TallerTim

Gave up a 5th for Hyde but just because the Jags were stupid enough at that time to trade a 5th for just a guy doesn’t mean any other team will step up and offer more

CosmicBaller

Well if youโ€™re gonna let James Robinson go then let Josh Allen go too. He isnโ€™t doing anything.

    Isaiah Jackson

Right and he would be good trade value

    S Myers

You need to watch closer. top-10 in pressures, great vs. run. Can’t just look at the stat sheet.

The Clean Fabric Collective

The trade is one thing…. But to lie and play politics is disappointing… They literally blamed injury and said he was “A big part of our plans” and we wake to the trade news….I see where the dislike for Baalke comes from in real time now.

    Brandon Sampson

I agree slap in the face

5 year plan

The idea that Robinson doesn’t fit this offense is a joke. He has been an efficient runner his whole career, not a guy who needs 25 carries to be effective. You guys talk about JR like he’s Jerome Bettis, lol — he’s not just a hammer, he’s a creative back with great vision who has consistently outperformed his blocking. It’s like you don’t know what you’ve been watching the last 2 years. As for this being a pass-first offense, sure, but Robinson is great in pass protection, an area where Etienne has struggled massively. He’s great in short yardage, where the team has struggled across the board. He’s a good receiver out of the backfield — an area where Etienne has also struggled. Being explosive doesn’t make you a good receiver, and TJ drops the ball waaay too often. And he provides needed insurance behind Etienne, who has a lot of wear on his tires from college and is coming off major injury. The issue with your argument is that he provides more value as a reserve player than the expected value from a 5th/6th round pick. So it makes more sense to keep him and let him walk than to lose the insurance policy for a pick that will almost certainly never give you any production. The caping is intense here.

Of all the horrible moves this organization has made the Robinson trade is the top of the list.

S Myers

Using averages over a 4 game stretch to justify the move is hilarious. That’s not statistically significant, and it’s not a reflection of Robinson’s historical production. Bottom line is this team failed to accurately value Robinson’s ability. They made a poor trade. This whole thing about speed is also a joke. Robinson was extremely explosive in a short area, and yes, lacked long speed. But he was consistently churning out 10-20 yard runs for this team for two seasons behind a bad line with no other offensive threats. Further, Hasty’s a 4.55 guy. Robinson is a 4.6 guy. That’s a marginal difference in speed. The actual difference is that Robinson is a proven starter playing on a UDFA contract, while Hasty is a career backup and solid change of pace player. I am honestly shocked that you are bending over backwards to make this seem like a sound decision rather than a classic Trent Baalke move, made in haste.

No name

53 on a roster

Ok remove James now 52
Get another guy from the practice squad now 53
Does that guy you bring up to the 53 improve the team? Hell no
Does removing James make us a worse team? Hell yes
So we just made the team worse! You canโ€™t argue that

He was only the integral part that won us those 2 games
We keep saying we need to learn how to win. I would argue James was the guy who did now how to win.

This is not rocket science for a conditional 5
Just stupid yay another practice squad player

OL0805

Doug doesnt want to disparage JRob by saying anything when he was just traded. He said he knows more than the media does about the situation. The fact is that they see Hasty and Snoop are better than JRob is now. He obviously is worse off physically than they are willing to say. Read between the lines. It is simple.

    Nechemyah Yasharal

That don’t make any since. A team is not going to trade for an injured player. Also, the player has to take a physical and pass the physical before the trade is actually legit.

    Brandon Sampson

Yeah he has more touchdowns than everybody on this team except Kirk hasty and snoop are so much better ๐Ÿคก

    OL0805

@Nechemyah Yasharal when they are draining JRob’s knees which even he stated, then there is a problem on top of the Achilles. Not saying it is fair for JRob….just saying that they know the inside story.

    Nechemyah Yasharal

@OL0805 JROB said out of his own mouth he got his knees drained that’s nothing new or is not considered and injury. Football players has bumps, bruises, ice pack, ice baths every game. It’s a violent sport but that don’t mean a player is SERIOUSLY injured. If you don’t know, don’t try to make it a problem when there isn’t a problem. That’s speculation and how rumors get started.

CLAYBLUEGAMING

I think they should not have traded him. A 5th rd pick is not enough value for me. ETN is the better more explosive player and gives us the better chance of scoring on any play. But, But. Do we know if ETN has the durability to be full RB1? Alot of miles on those legs from clemson. I think robinson is better for depth and injury insurance as his contract is only $546K. Ur not finding a better backup should u need it.

Mr Potato

everyone talking about jrob but im looking forward to see what snoop conner can do.

    Patrick Foster

RB still deep in jax. Conner, Etienne, Hasty…

Stu Mcd

I HATE this move. Hate it hate it hate I 1 of our most dependable players! Way to build a culture guys…

Swift Jit

๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ โ€œno one wants to hear that when adversity hits bsโ€ ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

Eris Danner

If this man doesn’t help this team win now he needs to go he’s had plenty of chances Trent balkeeee strikes again

Brandon Sampson

Giving away our most productive player to a team within our conference for a low end draft pick โ€ฆ.awesome

Deshawn Barrett

We can’t rackle. We would get off thr field on defense if we cut the penalties n make tackles We top 5

Patrick Jackson

I was wondering whether this would be a balanced analytical piece or a propaganda piece, more the latter than the former in terms of Robinson I see…
