Ryan Poles addresses trading Robert Quinn to the Eagles | Chicago Bears – FANTASY FOOTBALL FAN SITE
Jared Perry

I love this move and I love what Poles is doing! The future for the Bears is very bright! 🐻⬇️

    Chris Yentastic

I agree good move but still sad to see such a respected player go

    Lucky Borgens

Agree 134 mil to spend next year plus 10 picks… crazy awesome

    Sam Russo

Just having people who are open and honest and care about fundamentals on every level is more enjoyable

    Alex Fromnic

Love the move? You pay the majority of his remaining salary and only get a 4th round pick and love it? Sure the bears ain’t going no where and a 4th round pick is better because quinn won’t be part of the rebuild but love the move? You act like you got a 2nd or 1st rounder

WFM

Sad to see him go but I’m glad that Robinson and Gipson are about to get a lot more playing time

    ImBearingDown

    And Kingsley Jonathon

Cody Chandler

Love the move. Love that Poles doesn’t hide and talks to us.

    Medusa Man

@ACG He’s been doubled and triple teamed all season. Watch the tape. The rest of the D has been inconsistent which hurts him. A lot of the opposing QBs first reads are open. He’s had 2 sacks called back because of penalties. He’s not as bad as the stats show.
I would have held out for a 3rd for another day or two.

    Brandon Bass

@Medusa Man ideally with 2 4ths now they can move back into the 3rd. As long as they hit on the pick and are smart with the money they’re saving next yr, they’ll be fine. I believe the reason that he wasn’t moved in the off season was because teams were only offering a day 2 caliber pick anyway.

    Timoth_y

@ACGand it’s so refreshing to have a GM that doesn’t talk like he’s trying to sell a used car

    Alex Fromnic

You get a 4th round pick and have to pay the majority of the remaining salary for quinns contract and you love that move? I can understand the move. I can be okay with the move but 4th round picks aren’t anything to go doing a back flip over

    Cody Chandler

@Alex Fromnic they got a 4th and saved about 10 million in cap space next year the year they actually plan to spend money. So yes I’m happy with the move.

Iridesnw

Poles gets up and speaks when it’s needed. Damn refreshing and classy

    Brenda Mckeithan

@ImBearingDown for sure that why he said that he going to great addition to the Eagles, Bears have Robinson who played very well Monday so Poles pulled the plugged he was thinking after Cowboy game but Howie wanted him now I don’t know what but it is what it is now

    ImBearingDown

@Brenda Mckeithan yeah, opens up some reps for Kingsley Jonathon & Gipson too. I really like D-Rob, been making vids of all his snaps most weeks. I always get mad at how few reps he’s been getting, but I’m excited to see what he can do now.

    Brenda Mckeithan

@ImBearingDown you know that the only person besides Poles know is the GM assistant the know before Quinn, maybe pr team sometimes

    ImBearingDown

@Brenda Mckeithan You’re talking about after the trade is done right? I assume there are a lot of people involved in the negotiation of the trade.

    Amahd cole

    Yeah

Edwin Setlik

Ryan Poles is very well spoken… eloquent by NFL standards. He is showing that he has a vision for the Bears and as a fan, I am more optimistic than I was at this time last year.

    Maverick or Merv

    spitting FACTS Edwin

    Dylan Mordhorst

Eloquent, good word. using it properly as well two thumbs up from me 👍 👍

Ryan Crawford

Poles has my full trust. I love what moves he’s making !

    Trace Rawls

@JerryHunt92 something else I just learned so you know. Quin has 2 more years after this season on his contract. Each being 14 mil and 13 mil and he isn’t getting any younger and only 1 sack this season so far. For the rest of the season we’re paying 7 mil of his current pay this year and then after that he is off our books like Mack. So given his age and lack of production and his contract and were able to have him off our books and get a 4th in return while also increasing our cap space for next season? If you think of it like that it’s a pretty damn good trade

    JerryHunt92

@Trace Rawls it had to be done

    Trace Rawls

@JerryHunt92 I agree it had to be done. But to not only get a 4th and have him off our books for the next 2 years is very impressive

    Amahd cole

    I do too

    Mike

    @Trace Rawls Well said…
Watching since coach Armstrong – this is better management then they have had in ages.
As long as the owners stay out of it, there will be progress.

VisualHighlights

Love the fact he’s not afraid to speak to the media and address the situation 💯 Robinson has been a solid rookie and Gipson always makes plays whenever he’s in. He just hasn’t been in that much.

Slepay

Holy w this man speaks to the media more than any other gm in the league

Matty23

Quinn is not getting any younger and after an unproductive year so far, trading him makes sense. A 4th rounder is a solid pick and considering Quinn is 32 and didn’t look the same this year, this is a good trade.

    DARTH VADER

    And great for cap space

    PD Gutierrez

@DARTH VADER Now I hope he can pay up for 58 that middle linebacker, Smith!
Smith has been playing so great.

    Marius Owens

Quinn number 1 in double teams this year to, he’ll break out with us 🦅🦅

    Branden P

@Marius Owens they also changed there scheme, which made it tough on him. Will be a great rotational piece for us. Also cheap for this year.

    Rivey"s World

And that’s what I saying… he maybe had like one sack this year with the same moves…these same bears fans were just calling on trading him and now everyone is so sad … please

James Speelman

Quinn going to a contender! Hell yeah great move for everyone involved.

    Charles Maclin

@Marticus Quarles that was too long. I got just of it.
Quinn: 1st 7 games with Mack 8.5 sacks. Next game:3.5.
    Next 9gms: 6.5.
He doesn’t have Mack and he doesn’t have Hicks and Tonga. Robert quinn deserves to have a chance for a SB he’s not getting it here. Prior management failure.
We get a extra 4th. He has one sack this year. We have 132 mil in cap space. This a development year. See what they have and where signing a big ticket FA or drafting high is/isn’t a Necessity.🐻👇🏿

    Charles Maclin

@Marticus Quarles Quinn had racked up 8.5 sacks in the first 7 games playing with Mack last yr. 3.5 the next game, 6 in the last 9 gm=18.5 Idk what you read. Mack has 6 sacks this season Quinn has 1. U got it tho

    Charles Maclin

@Marticus Quarles U can’t be a Bears Fan so with that I’ll make it short. Last regime bad draft picks, bad contracts with aging roster. No cap space and no draft picks.. Stop It.. Plus Da Bears are competitive which we like to see but SB contenders no..they don’t have the talent nor did they have the avenue to do it this yr. But your entitled to your opinion, I respect it.👍🏿 But nah🤷🏿‍♂️✌🏿

    Kevin Provencher

@Marticus Quarles I know it hurts getting rid of him. He’s aging by the day and not looking anything like last year. We need Young players Period

    Branden P

Thanks for Quinn. I feel like it’s a win win, from an Eagles fan perspective

T M

This guy totally gets it. I still believe in him taking the NORTH by storm.

    Myran Williams

Are you kidding? The Vikings and Packers will have a lot to say about that. The bears are trash. The owners are the reason why the bears have been an very weak, mediocre team.

    T M

@Myran Williams Myrna deez nuts 🌰 my guy.

    Matthew Jay Evans

@Myran Williams Be glad you’re not a Cubs fan.

    Alex Fromnic

Not even taking it by a breeze right now.

    Alex Fromnic

@Matthew Jay Evans Chicago in general.

Wiliam Widlacki

What a stand up man!!! A GM that actually makes himself available during the season, wow!!

    daveisabeastly

Ryan pace would of just hid in his room Till the end of the season press

Robert Butler Jr

He definitely puts thought into what he does. Mack to the Chargers was great for him. This move will be great for Quinn. And we will be good.

    Rich Lo

Mack hasn’t done anything this year of what I hear

MidwayMonsters 6

Props for talking Poles. We wish you the best Robert!

Jay Clark

Man O’ man, this man is doing unbelievably great in all moves. I haven’t trusted the GM or Coach as much as I do now and that is 16 years of seeing with my eyes how the organization had been moving. Love it, love it, love it, love it!! He wasn’t joking we’re taking the north back💪😤

Swanny

Thank you 94 for what you did for us ❤️

BIG MONEY SPORTS TALK

I hope it pays off in the long run, I understand this is a building phase as well a championship hunt season for the Bears. Young team, young management, they are in this for the long haul. I love this team, keep it going Bears!

    Alex Fromnic

It’s not a championship hunt for the bears lol

    BIG MONEY SPORTS TALK

@Alex Fromnic you could be speaking too soon. Run the ball and play defense, recipe for a championship team, the Bears can do both

roudyman777

Hard to see him go but this is absolutely the best move for the Bears long term. Also glad to see Quinn on a championship-caliber team this season and I wish him the best of luck on the Eagles 🙏

fka.climate

And you can tell Poles has a heart about this, he sounds pained.

$limeyy

Can’t wait to see what he does with all the leeway in the offseason
