Well to be fair Washington when healthy might be the best or at minimum top 5 defense in the nfl
Not a Wentz fan, but that oline is horrible. The defense is on him within a second of the snap.
Bengals Commanders and Bears with the Panthers have some of the worst Olines
This was a terrible game
Washington is stacked with talent on defense, the defensive line is as stout as any in the NFL, a few of our corners are not playing well and 1 has asked to be traded(honestly I’m glad to see him go) 1 or both get burned every week for a huge play or td. Can’t wait to get chase young back either. The o-line has been hit hard by injuries and it is pieced together right now but if those guys can come together and give Carson a little time then this Washington team can definitely reel off some W’s.
Huge respect to the camera guys for staying awake during these TNF games!

That was actually an incredibly great call. If you go frame by frame, his forearm actually came down in bounds with possession BEFORE his elbow touched, so yes, it was a legal catch, but the ball was about a quarter yard from the front of the plane, as ruled. He did have his hand on the ball while breaking the plane just before that when his left shin was brushing the turf in bounds, but at that point, he hadn’t secured possession yet. Given how much there was to observe on that play, it’s impressive this ref crew got the right call on the first try with no replay.

Ball came out he didn’t have possession. Case closed. The Bears lost. Deal with it. Washington made the correct decision running the ball against the Bears attacking their weakness.. Washington didn’t play into the Bears strength which is pass defense. Good thinking.

Magnificent battle between two QB’s attempting to out inept each other.
We know Wentz is mediocre and will always be. Fields is young so some Bears fans still give him credit. Not me -he’s in his second year and shows zero progress. The O-line is bad but not guilty -Fields needs more than three seconds to scan the field (and still doesn’t see his receivers) and start his throws, that’s too long in today’s NFL.
@Michael Swisher College football… in the NFL he’s a deer in the headlights. And too slow to throw. Even the best NFL O-lines can’t guarantee more than three seconds, which is the minimum Fields needs to scan the field. Good QBs throw within a couple seconds and change.
I can’t fault Wentz too much here. His wr’s dropped a dozen easy catches. Fields couldn’t make up his mind where to throw so he just ran.
@Ernesto Gasulla Wentz is far from mediocre. You must have no clue what mediocre really is. The only good WR core Wentz had was 2017 with a great Oline. That year they won the SB. After that the WRs got worse. And in 2020 only his center was good. Last year his Oline was 3rd worst in pass protection. And this year his Oline is tied for most sacks given up. No QB can be great with such help he has. Remember this is a team sport!
Don’t blame the QBs because their supporting casts didn’t get it done. Clearly, you don’t know what you saw.

Each team really tried hard to loose the game. Even at the end is incredible that chicago could not score at 6 yards from the goal line
Washington stopped Chicago from scoring a couple times from the goal line. That’s great defensive play from a great defensive front line and great play from the back 7. Washington has talent they just have a garbage head coach and offensive and defensive coordinator, the whe coaching staff and owner need to go!!!

I thought Fields was done about 5 times during this game. Dude kept getting absolutely smacked, would lay there for like 10 seconds, then just get up and keep playing. Get this kid a good line!!
