@Ron Jones Idk I just don’t see Russell progressing to Brees level. He’s just too two faced and his wife is making it worse on him mentally. And physically bigger and slower, while aging.

I like what Geno is doing so far but we can’t miss the opportunity to draft a franchise QB in this upcoming draft it’s deep at the position but we need a elite pass rusher and corner opposite of woolen and middle linebacker and safety’s 💯
Wasn’t Geno a first rounder? Teams were still scared to draft a black QB back then.
You don’t need a new franchise QB, you got him. Use the next draft to upgrade the defense.
@Cesco He could be the short term answer at QB but he is not the future at QB he still hasn’t proved he can come from behind that’s probably what the team does in the draft improve the defense depending on how he finishes the season calm down it’s only been 5 games and I’ll schedule gets tougher 💯
2024 draft class looks good too, Ewers, Williams, Maye. I’d say we focus on defense in the draft and give geno a few more years

Man, I’m so happy for Geno Smith. He was one of those guys you felt like they never got a fair shake or shot in the league especially going to the terrible Jets right out of college. Hope he gets paid next year what he deserves. The other guy I’m rooting for is Jameis Winston.
The difference between Russ and Geno is most evident with intermediate passes over the middle. Russ just never looked comfortable or missed open receivers there. I truly wonder now if his height really did impact this issue.

Said it once, I’ll say it again: situations matter for QBs. Is Geno the best QB in the league, no, ofc not. But people acting like he was set up for success before getting to the Seahawks are nuts. Not every QB will be a Mahomes or Herbert where you can immediately tell, and even more so if the situation around them isn’t conducive to proper development. I hope for more teams look at Geno Smith and ask themselves: “Are we really helping our QB out by putting him in a spot where he can attempt to put on his best display as a player?”

ngl, I definitely underestimated Geno’s ability to manage the offense; I’ve never had any pretense that Pete’s Offense is something “magical”, so as long as Geno tempers himself on that field, I believe now he will have a fantastic season.
