I’m no Cowboys fan but I like watching Cooper play. For how little he’s played he’s a real pro and he doesn’t get easily rattled. I do think Cooper will be a starter somewhere soon. I don’t know how long his contract will run but right now he’d be one heck of a bargaining chip in a trade scenario. But to me the Cowboys could start either Dak or Cooper and I’m pretty convinced they could win with either guy. I guess the only probable downside: they might end up with a quarterback controversy. There is another potential downside as well: if Dak comes back too soon and loses the “boo birds” and “Coo-per! Coo-per!” calls might start which would put a lot of negative pressure on Dak. (I actually prefer Cooper’s style of play over Dak’s. Dak is 1-3 in the playoffs and I think that if Cooper kept playing and the Cowboys made the playoffs I think they actually could go deep in the playoffs. With Dak all I have is previous history which hasn’t been great and my gut tells me they’d struggle.)
