I love trevor but this whole interview i kept thinking “just hold the ball”
Yeah. He was struggling but I think it was raining. I had an NFL ball ever since I was about eight as my dad bought my brother and me one. It was pricey back then. But a wet NFL ball can be hard to handle as it can get pretty slick. I loved it when it was dry though.

I watched quite a bit of the game and I think it was raining. Trevor obviously struggled keeping a handle on it. I got wondering though if Trevor has played much in the rain, in high school, college or the NFL. A wet NFL ball is pretty slick so it’s harder to hold and harder to throw. It also can get heavier which is a problem. Maybe it’s a blessing in disguise though. If the Jags make the layoffs they’ll almost certainly have to play in bad weather conditions. Buffalo or Kansas City are brutal during the winter. But maybe this game would help Trevor in those types of games as he’d have more experience doing it. At any rate I wouldn’t worry much about Trevor. He has huge potential and I’m pretty confident people will be talking about Josh Allen, Mahomes, Trevor and probably Zach Wilson in the same breath at some point. All those guys are terrific passers.
All he needs to do is hold the ball with two hands when running out the pocket
