Great win? No. A win? Yes. They made a game out of a game that was over at the half vs the worst team in the nfl. We put teams on the ropes but don’t knock them out.
This was not a great win this was horrendous effort, almost as bad as the jaguars game.

I feel like run defense has been an issue for a decade at this point.
I mean I’m not sure about that, it’s more about eliminating those big burst runs. If you take out that 75 yard run, they held the Texans to 66 yards rushing.

In four games Ek avg 3.1 a carry vs Jk’s 4.2, hence “looking like the #1 back, the man needs more touches”. If JK is our most productive RB on the ground, he needs the most carries, simple

I think Staley has it in him to be a good HC, but he needs needs NEEDS to ditch Lombardi. I know they’re friends and that Staley worked under Lombardi in coaching in college, but he’s going to need to make hard choices in this league to be successful.

I agree. We should be able to dominate this league. We seem to show up in the first half and then we take our foot off the gas. We put up 20+ points in the first half, we should be able to do the same in the 2nd half.

Yes, I AGREE ! They had a 14 point lead VRS the Raiders & just held on to win it ? Had a 10 point lead VRS the Chiefs & LOST that game ? Had a 20 point lead & again, let the TEXANS get it to a 3 point game & this is a WEAK team ? Can NOT keep getting big leads & [ SETTING ] on them ! This defense is NOT that good , as many people think ? Can’t stop the run , can’t get off on 3rd downs & letting way to many scores in the Red zone ? SOUNDS kind a like last years defense to me ? Yes , we got some sacks & a couple of turn overs, BUT, when they don’t GET them , well just look at the 2 games before this one ! A win & that is good , BUT, got the Browns next & at there place ?And they are NOT the Texans team, even with out D. Watson not playing ?
lombardi has to go, whole second half texans d knew exactly where we were going on first and second downs. It is such a shame we will never ever get to see how good herbert and this offense should be. We could have scored 50 today but we let off the gas as usual and it almost cost us again. Against the Texans.

It was great seeing Bandy out there making some plays. Really hope we continue to see more from him. Some guys like that never look the part in practice compared to others but they know how to make plays game time. They just need the opportunity to show it.
A pattern is developing this season. Starting off with a plan and scheme that brings early success then At the half our opponents adjusts and we don’t anticipate it causing the team to fall behind and fight to save a win. We were out scored in the 2nd half today! Just like the Chiefs and Raiders. If Lombardi doesn’t become more creative with our receiver routes, playing to all three levels, and utilizing our running game with more success, he will not only cost the team the post season but his and Staleys jobs.

Wasn’t really happy with the defense to be honest. It’s hard to say how good our running game was consider it’s the Texans. But we NEEED to establish the run. Get creative with them. It was very refreshing to see Lombardi call something other than stick in different formations
Lombardi and the play calling is our greatest weakness. He gets super predictable and conservative when we get a lead. I was at the Jacksonville game and all those 3 and outs by the offense killed our defense. They can only do so much when the offense stops producing. Please Chargers get more creative and aggressive on offense.
