There arenāt too many definitive GOATS in the NBA right, so many opinions about who is the best at this or the best at that, however one thing is for sure, STEPH is the greatest shooter of all time, not even a debate, and Iām not a fan of giving GOAT status to many players, but damn this kid has elevated the shooting game to a level that many of us thought wasnāt possible!
Agreed. He also is one of those guys that wouldve dominated in any era (aside from pre-3 point line lmao but even then he”d still be an unstoppable scorer).
To be so consistent at his elite insane level of skill is one thing but it’s his intelligence that takes him over the edge. Shot selection doesn’t exist for him. I mean legitimately *EVERY* SHOT he takes, contested or not, is considered a good (high percentage) shot. Despite that he still knows when to facilitate instead & allow others to get their good looks. He scores like he does bc it wins them games. They literally need all his points and when they rarely don’t, he doesn’t force.
Cares less what his stat line is, how many trip-dubs, assists per game he gets, he just goes out there & dominates any way his team needs to win. I hate how he is not regarded as the best PG in the league bc ppl say he doesn’t play like a true PG. He most certainly does and just bc he doesn’t seek garbage time assists to get 10+ every game doesn’t negate that. He is the BEST PG and has been the last 7 years PERIOD.
I grew up a kobe fan and he always had this aura of being the best and if not the best pound for pound, he was merciless and unstoppable. steph has that aura as well. in a different way. he is all finesse which makes what a lot of what he does kobe-esque because Kobe’s footwork was 100% on display every night. Steph’s shooting is what makes him unstoppable when you combine it all and his intelligence. He doesn’t have a kobe type killer personality but you dont need it when you’re dropping long distance bombs already writing letters of good night
