@Hash2272 Americans got “football” from “rugby football” (later shortened to just “rugby”) which originates from England. The word “soccer” also comes from England. It was once called “association football” then shortened to “assoc” then shortened again to “soc” then lengthened to “soccer.”

@Brad Forward They rigged it so the final kick bounces off the crossbars like that even though he made a 60-yd kick earlier lol? The NFL hates The Vikings. If the game was rigged it would be rigged so we’d lose.

Lot of Viking fans in the Scandinavian countries. London games are their best chance to see Viking games

There were plenty of European fans at the game but kept telling me that having a team there wouldn’t work because as soon as the team starts losing, the crowds will start to dwindle. There is always talks about being the Jaguars over but as I told the bloke at the Overground station, “You’ll get use to the phrase, ‘With the No. 1 pick in the NFL draft the Jaguars select…’”

100%. Its good games like this that really sell the sport.
There were some questionable calls I think to keep the game interesting. They definitely trying to sell this sport to Erupeans. If the score was 3 to 20 I doubt the Erupenas would be talking about this one too much.
And as an international fan of the game, I’m glad it’s so exciting too!

I don’t think it was the crossbar as much as the upright goal post. Would have easily cleared the crossbar had it been on target.

The 4th quarter’s drama was really furious. From Saints comeback and the suspicious flag to the final kick which hit the bar. Really entertaining.

@Homeofanime Clips he’s talking about the flag after the hands to the face call. We got a defensive holding call because theilen hooked Lattimores arm then yanked his head with the facemask. That hands to the face call was also bogus
London crowd cheering for almost every play is amazing lol they’re just happy to be watching American football in person!
