Team doesnt look bad just scared being from chicago and a life long ohio state fan just praying justin fields isnt just another great college qb cant really tell if hes struggling because of no targets or hes just playing bad
@Steve B Exactly, Getsy hasnt been perfect but everyone is just slamming him for “not enough passes” but then again, fields has been bad, ive lost nearly all hope for him. Missed a screen pass erlier because he threw it so badly… i dont see him being our franchise qb tbh

@K J I was at the game today he holds the ball to long and scared to pull the trigger. I want him to succeed but he has a problem passing from the pocket with wide open receivers, reading defenses, and just handling the job of an NFL quarterback. Hopefully he can learn it but right now he’s having one of the worst seasons of quarterbacking in Bears history. Thank goodness for our running gameπ―

Yes we should but at the end of the day we won the game and I’m never going to apologize for a victory. Bears will be tied for first place in their division no matter what after all the games are played. I’ll take it.

Montgomery has been hurt every season. I love the man and everything he does for this team but I just don’t see this regime extending him since he’s such a liability health-wise. Herbert balling out only makes that case more real.
He can’t stay healthy because they don’t split the carries between the backs, every other team splits the carries between their backs. In today’s NFL the running back position can’t be manned by just one back anymore. It’s just to physical and they take to many hits. Bears need to learn to split the carries or all our running backs will eventually get hurt. They should have given ebdner more carries today.
I’m pretty sure everyone including Monty know he’s not getting resigned. Wouldn’t make sense. Injured too much, and although he is productive when healthy, Hibbert is still on his rookie contract.
@yemi_ And they can draft a guy like Tavion Thomas (6’2 240) out of Utah with 21 tds last year in the middle rounds as a pairing to Herbert and Ebner. You can always find a very good RB in the 4th or 5th round. But as Jim said correctly. They get beat up worse than any NFL position.
@Jim George they tried to get Ebner going in the running game with 7 touches but he averaged only 3.3 yards per carry. They needed to feed Herbert. The Texans had no answers for him. He averaged 7.8 yards per carry

I thought it last year and I still think it Khalil Herbert is a better fit in the Bears run scheme heβd shifty but he also posses enough power to break tackle and speed that if you miss he could punish you .
Love this old school beat up nothing is more demoralizing then a offense pushing a defense all over the field

Sucks Montgomery got hurt. He’s been great for the Bears but such is life as a NFL running back. His yards after first contact, over his career, are amazing but He’s a free agent next year and the Bears won’t resign him. They can draft a guy like Tavion Thomas (6’2 236) 21 tds last year from Utah in the middle rounds next year as a big back compliment to Herbert.

Losing Montgomery hurt but Herbert is just as explosive for us at RB, Texans had no answer for him all game long!
