I’m not a baker hater but one I think I do enjoy having with Jacoby that Baker was missing is that maturity and being able to maintain maturity through out games.
And connecting with the star WR. I don’t even remember the last time a WR had back to back 100 receiving yards with a TD
Brissett is also more resilient than Baker, TBH. He’s gotten abused on the field, and keeps going. Will never take a play off even if he’s hurt.

How doesn’t he? We already have a run game so having a mobile QB isn’t really necessary. I think Jacoby fits our system better, being that he’s taller and a pocket passer. If you know football then you know those are the best QBs of all-time. Don’t sleep on Jacoby.
Truly think that deshuan won’t play this year and they will let jacoby play this whole year if he’s playing well enough

He was in such a very tough predicament but still he managed to really be nothing but class.
I think starting out his career playing under Bill Belichick and Tom Brady really helped him out and then going to The colts playing with Andrew luck. Love this guy

We were lucky to snag him. A very nice backup that is capable of starting and winning games. A clear upgrade from Baker. Even if DeShaun was suspended for the season, the Browns were better off with Jacoby. I love to see the confidence he was building the last two games. He’s pretty damn good.
I’m not sold on the fact that Watson is better than Jacoby, tbh. He may be more athletic but Jacoby’s IQ and awareness are far more important skills to have at the QB position, not to mention height and weight.
@Richard Liuzzo It’s a very friendly QB system. Watson will excel in the offense once he gets familiar with it and shakes off the rust (he’s not played in over a year).
I like Jacoby though. He plays within his strengthens and doesn’t try to do things he can’t. This really explains more how bad Baker really was here.
You got a really good line and the best running game in football. That’s everything a QB could ask for. Jacoby didn’t have this kind of support other places he played.
And Baker is struggling again in Carolina and they’re already talking about benching him. I really don’t understand how anyone really thought he was good. Even his suppose ‘good seasons’ were pretty average, and he was carried by a really good supporting cast.

Browns could win a lot of games with Brissett. Very cool and collected, mature, can make most throws and run for a few on a broken play. Not elite, nothing too special, but he also lacks the dumb mistakes. Gives me Alex Smith vibes. Loved by teammates and can win with a good surrounding cast. Shouldn’t have traded for Watson… ruined the whole “lovable losers who are finally relevant” thing they had going on.
