Texans, and Giants will be a great test. How they play against those teams will truly determine who the ā€œbottom of the barrelā€ teams really are. Packers and 49ers are just about guaranteed playoff teams, and weā€™re going into Week 3 1-1. Canā€™t be horribly mad at that. Bears are one of the youngest teams in the league, and admittedly do not have a lot of established talent. This is a first year coaching staff, so give it some time. Take a breathe, everyone.

Agreed, but at the same time, Bears fans have been getting beat by Green Bay very consistently for years. We had more missed tackles in the clear field than we did in a monsoon game.

That’s a problem, the coaches don’t need to tell people how to tackle the ball carrier when you’re in the NFL. You’ve been playing football consistently for more than 10 years, they should know how to do this by now.

We can’t dwell on it, just gotta move on and get past it.

@B Bibbles it is frustrating, man. No doubt about it. Year in and out, our worst performances are always against the Packers. Regardless of how good they are themselves. Iā€™d love for us to turn the tides before Rodgers retires, but weā€™re still (realistically) a couple years away. Hopefully we will start to see the light at the end of the tunnel soon.

@Connor Muckerman That first drive Sunday night was beautiful. The biggest difference to me that stands out about the Bears that other teams do differently is how the ball drives down the field. When it comes to watching a Bears game versus watching, say, a Bills game is just how much differently the two teams play. When I watch the Bears play, I’m holding my breath just waiting for some big play to take the ball away, or just expecting a 3 and out.

As for the Bills or other teams, they’re pretty much Guaranteed to get at least one or two first downs that help so much versus Bears, when I’m surprised to see us even in FG range. It’s night and day difference.

@B Bibbles it’s not about missed tackles. It’s about are you committed to stopping the run or not. The cover two defense the bears run focuses on getting to the qb, not stopping the run. If you really want to stop the run then at least for one week instead of playing in a 4-3 defense , run a 4-4 defense and also bring the strong safty down to be a fifth linebacker. With five linebackers playing in the box , you’ll definitely be able to stop the run.

Makes me wonder about Roquan as a captain. He skipped training camp, requested a trade, decides to come back and gets named Captain? I canā€™t imagine the players that were out there, working, competing to make the team would be inclined to follow a guy who wasnā€™t out there with them.

Flus stay the course as you always have… but need to shake things up for your run D and also replace 67 with 62 ASAP… and we will be just fine…
