He’s right but they’ll still need to make proper adjustments for that cover zero blitz. I think Drake could be huge catching the ball out of the backfield in those situations.
Yeah but why would you send him in zero blitz if it’s not a screen pass? That’ll be suicidal, bc you’ll need him for max protection.
@S.G. You need hot routes to leak out. That was the problem in last year’s game, he had nowhere to throw the ball in those situations cuz everybody was doing go routes.
@Anthony Anderson lol exactly. Go routes. Not utilizing one on one matchups to attack the vacant box… max pro will give those quick slants and cut routes will give a fraction more time to develop. It’s suicidal to send a rb out for a route and undoubtedly leave 1-2 men unblocked lmao.
@S.G. Depends. KC for example uses their backs this way all the time. It just depends on the situation. I agree about quick slants and such. Our route tree combinations are horrible at times.
I anticipate a totally different game. A more healthier roster. Miami O line should be considered about our pass rush. Justin Maddibuke is HUNGRY. That front 7 is HITTING guys playing smash mouth football. Personally I’m not concerned about zero blitz.
