0-4 in the RedZone… 12 penalties… Nathaniel not trusting Wilson with the ball on fourth down
Russ is also good in the 4th quarter and they’re telling Russ not to run when he’s a great runner
@DK Metcalf Russ has not been running. It was a common complaint of fans the last few years when he was here; passing up easy yards for difficult throws.
Agreed. That end zone touchdown and false start in the redzone cost 2 touchdowns. What do you think it was suspect if a call for the false start and he was in.
@delugesofgrandeur But he still moves in the pocket like droo backs and steo ups, pretty well but utilize that run threat from the Qb I see yournpoint
I’d rather lose trying to convert a 4thand5, than losing after missing a 64fg, cmon man
@Mitch Coob what did Russ ride today? We hadn’t had a decent QB since Manning or J. Elway.
@alan Cherry now Russ played good today, but defense allowed 2 touchdowns
@speaklife7 only allowing 2 TD during a game is not bad defense. Take away the 2 fumbles and it should of been 23 to 17. Realistically a game not going to be 16 to 12. And considering how long the defense was out on the field? When 80% of the teams on Sunday scored 20 something points besides Tampa bay scoring 19 points against Dallas cowboys. Kansas City scored 44 points. Statistically considering Broncos score in week 1 means are offense is in last place. Allowing only 17 points by the defense 2 or 3rd place. Both Broncos and the Seahawks have excellent defense in the red zone. Yeah we could of rushed more in first half but are defense pretty closely shutter them out in second half. Tom Brady develop rhythm with Tampa to transitioning from New England, why can’t Russel develop the same? My feelings for the first game is the same with Cam Newton to the Patriots and Andrew Luck over rated hype QB. The order of the game is Coach, QB, defense and special team. If the QB has no rhythm neither will the running back, nor the special team. 4 starting tide ends???? Offense wins games but defense wins championships.
@alan Cherry You seem to forget the fact that this is EXACTLY how Tom Brady looked in his first game with Tampa. Except one major difference. Russ didn’t throw a single interception. Everybody on the team is getting into their rhythm. I can’t believe I’m quoting Philadelphia here, but we’ve gotta “trust the process”. It’ll be alright next week.
The offense was stalled for three downs and didn’t move the ball into field goal range. The 64 yard attempt was the right call.
Why not go for it on 4th down? This is what we got Russell for!
By the way broncos, I want to let you know that what makes Russ very good is his running. He gets so much yards running! The broncos coaching is telling him not to run
We just got to shake it off and keep moving forward.
Gonna be a long disapointing season..
Broncos played such a good game, such a shame they didn’t give it to Russell though
As a Seahawks fan it’s so funny they didn’t let Wilson win it. Why trade for him if your not going to put the ball in his hands to win the game. He’s done it so many times in Seattle hahah
@J C Winters Maybe you didn’t, but it sure seemed like half the NFL had the Broncos representing the AFC when he first got traded
The trade for Wilson just gave the talking heads with sports shows something to babble about. Denver was a team with potental, without a quarterback, so the topic was interesting. Most knowledgable people in the NFL know a team undergoing coaching and system changes struggle just to have a winning season, with a few odd exceptions. And a number of people stated that fact.
@J C Winters I have no doubt the broncos will bounce back and be good. Wilson is good and the team around him is good. Rooting for my Hawks tho. There will be growing pains in Denver but it’ll workout
@Mr_5280x4 Cry more lmaoo
GENO! GENO! GENO!
They should’ve gave the ball to Marshawn Lynch!! Oh wait
😂😂😂😂💙💚💙💚
Go Hawks
Rent free
Bronco National, let’s ride… this franchise into the ground
This was the best game of the week bc it’s better to see a very competitive game than see one team getting blown away.
Russell has no reason to be ashamed bc he did his job and played very well!!! I was proud for Gino too.
This wasn’t a game to fall asleep on by any means. It was a great game!!!
Wait, so you telling me you wouldn’t want to see the Broncos blowout the Seahawks? Must not be a Broncos fan! Broncos Country Let’s Ride!!!
You watched a different game then everyone else.
@Isaiah Kyler he’s not a Broncos fan. Only time you want to see a great game is if you have no investment in either team! You just want to watch football. I want my team to blow out every single team they play all the way to the Superbowl! Sunday’s early games was a bunch of great games, comebacks, the whole nine! Now those were none of my teams! Broncos Country Let’s Ride
@Junior Sanders well I use to be a seahawks fan and your never gonna blow them out
@speaklife7 that doesn’t mean as a fan of your team you don’t want to blow out every team. Of course we’re not going to blow out every team! That would be 17-0 20-0 if we won the Superbowl. I’m just saying as a fan you don’t want to see a great game with your team, unless you already know you’re going to lose of course you want to see a great game then. You want to blow out every team you play as a fan of your favorite team! Na’mean? Broncos Country Let’s Ride!!!
I’m a commanders fan, that kick was impressive in how close it was honestly, but how do you not use the QB you paid big money for in a clutch moment? seems like it says “we have more faith in a 64yd game winning field goal than we have faith in the QB we paid millions for to perform in a clutch moment”
Go ‘Washington State’ Redskins. 😂
B-Mac 1-8 from 60+ yards, NFL teams converted 49% on 4th and 5 last season. Pass WP 36.1%, field goal WP 7.1%. THATS AFTER LETTING TIME RUN OFF THE CLOCK WITH 3 TIMEOUTS. IT WAS THE WRONG CALL
Hackett took the blame at the end of this game decision regardless of a controversial situation. I believe Russ could’ve changed the trajectory but it was “TOO RISKY” to put the game on his shoulders (mentally) in the first exhibition.
Broncos going to be a force in the west I understand they played sloppy I blame Hackett for not letting are starters play any preseason games they need games to find chemistry
GENO! GENO! GENO!
Couple takeaways from tonight:
12>3
Robo Russ had his feelings hurt when the 12’s booed
Geno is the savior
Russ misses his friends in Seattle
The only thing the broncos and Russ rode was the Seahawks D
I always knew Russ was magic! He even helps the Seahawks win when he’s on the other team! Go hawks!!!
Russel Wilson has never thrown for more than 4215 yard in over a decade of playing. His sb winning year he had 3300 yards then the next year when the ball was in his hands he choked! The only yards he had in the game were vs busted coverage
Russell was the man when he was younger, he was incredibly humble and selfless. Today he’s a mega diva. I miss the old Russ
A couple things, Mcmanus makes 70 yard field goals often in practice. Russell didn’t lose this game, the costly fumbles at the worst possible times did. You witnessed a terrific smash mouth team in the making, with excellent tight end coverage and conversions. The sky is the limit for the broncos and mark my words on this…… There gonna be a horror show this season for opposing teams. Make sure you hold me too it also, 8 games from now.
Man we moved the ball well and played some good defense. The mistakes overshadowed some promising stuff. I’m optimistic again
As a Seahawks fan this is hilarious. After all you broncos fans acted like it was gonna be an easy win LMAO GO HAWKS
As angry i was to lose to the Seahawks, there were a lot of positives! The O Line played well, Russ was great and patient in the pocket, Jeudy is showing up, defense is playing great. Coaching growing pains were inevitable and the running backs fumbles ultimately lost us the game. Hackett took the blame but he now has to rally the troops and get them ready. There’s 16 games still to be played.
