    I think they know that. Oyr secondary is excellent, but also very young. Mj Emerson is a rookie. Grant is a third year. Newsom is a second. Jj3 is the only 6+ year vet back there. I don’t think these guys got lazy man, they made young men mistakes. That’s a good thing because it’s not a character issue, but rather an experience issue. One that will get better.

    The idea behind modern defenses is to get to the point where you only have to rush 4 and stack throwing lanes with extra DBs. The Browns have the horses for it and thats what Woods is favoring.

    The defense had 2 blown coverages “miscommunications” otherwise Baker mayfield is only throwing for 120 yds and INT

God job overall coach you been through a lot of critizim I know over he last few years which I gave my fair share as well. Our D was very good except for the 2 big plays which made our great D look bad on paper overall. If we could of took those 2 plays back due to our coverage lapse their offense would only have legit 90 yards of offense lol. And we would of don by like 21.

What’s also is crazy if anyone of you guys follow this stat and we can take this with a grain of salt or whatever they say is we are ranked 20th overall on power rankings.. one word HOW!?!?!!!? Man there are teams who have 0-1 that are in front of their team. So it definitely not based on really a win obviously it helps but I guess it’s also based on the type of game that is played. So if they followed and watched the same game we fans had you could see how such of a great game we played on defense other than those 2 plays and got the W on the road. We on with a backup with only 4 career starts over like 6 years or so. Not to mention the analysis have him ranked legit the worse qb in the league no joke at 32. Went got some turnovers on D, caused a lot of pressure on defense. Stopped their great top 5 running Back when healthy which he is to about 75 yards. And our offense we didn’t have any turnovers and had TD. So I would love someone to explain to me please how did they come to number 20 for power rankings. I could honestly see like 10 or 11. Definitely not the lower 15. I am honestly pissed.

Its year 3 with the same guys in the defensive backfield yet we are still seeing big plays on broken coverages. We’re too far along now to be seeing this still. This defense is better than that. If we continue to see broken coverages Woods has to go after the year is over.

2 broken plays gave Mayfield 125 of his 235 and almost cost the Browns the win. The offesnse is not without blame, we know this, but the defense whole identity is NOT giving up the big plays.

    Joe woods built a top five d last year. We won. And that was obviously a lapse of judgment on the field in at least one of those plays. Why would you talk about getting rid of a guy who litterally outmanueverd the other team for all but one play? It is litterally only one play short of perfect.

Honestly, if he didn’t have so much talent on defense, this coach would have been fired a long time ago. I don’t know why he gets so much praise when his scheming has periodically allowed teams to come back late the last three seasons.

Coach make sure your DTs put their arms up when anticipating when all QBs about to throw this season! I don’t know why you and your coaching staff haven’t stressed that fundamental the past 2 seasons because it could have changed a lot of outcomes in the past! Also tell Emerson to stop walking to his matchup from the huddle! Teams are going to notice that and catch him and others off guard!
