Yeah, Chiefs defense in the entire 4th and part of the 3rd were almost all backups. If they wanted to the Chiefs could have scored 60+ and the Cards would have been lucky to put another 7 on the board. Game wasn’t even close. That OL even lost their pro bowl level RG Trey Smith in the first quarter and the backup Allegretti came in and was pretty good. He has a bunch of experience which is a plus. Chiefs basically ran it the entire way for like the last 1/3 of the game and still scored lmao. This team is going to be really hard to beat, especially if that defense plays like this every week.
Love to see it. He puts the nasty in my dynasty team.

Chiefs traded in a Cheetah for a pack of hyena’s. Chiefs look way more dangerous now they have 3RBs they can rotate, 2 maybe 3 TE’s and still have burners with that WR group and the Defense looking nice ! Pacheco def going to be a problem for defenses deeper in the season.

The most important stat is that Mahomes ran the ball only 3 times for 5 yds. If that’s all he does on the ground, the protection was great and everybody was open.
Ehhhh. Protection was iffy. Definitely not the worst, but he still got hit a lot. He also moves around a lot, so I guess that’s asking a lot of your line.

@Richard Sinclair if the protection appeared iffy, it would be because cardinals blitzed 56% of KC snaps. That’s stupid, did cardinals defensive coordinator forget the more you blitz mahomes, the higher his QB rating is? Mahomes feasts on the blitz, loves it.

@UndeadBomber So that team haven’t made the playoffs in more than a decade and now all of a sudden they could do it with any qb? If that team was so great, how come they were 6-5 before the bye? Hmm, oh yah, its bc the coach wanted to keep on passing it deep all day long, it doesn’t matter how talented the team is if the coach is predictable in his playcalling, that’s why Brady changed it up during the bye week and then boom, they go undefeated after that. The only qb that would of been able to maybe change the coach mind is Rodgers since he’s a veteran and probably would threaten to leave the team if he doesn’t change his game plan, Brady probably did the same, Mahomes and Allen is to young, they would just follow whatever he says and wonder why they don’t make the playoffs. Brady barely squeaked into the playoffs solely due to bad coaching, all other qb except Rodgers would of had no chance.
@Deezawsome Nuts3 Good defense is pushing it, yah they got a good front 7 but their entire secondary is a bunch of rookies, as a result, their pass defense was rank 21st against the pass, not that great and their offense is rank 28th running and special team is rank dead last, add that with a predictable head coach game plan resulting in multiple loses which is why Brady had to change it during the bye, he probably threaten to leave the team if the offense kept on passing it deep over and over. Jamis is probably a great qb but if he has to keep passing the ball deep due to the coach, it becomes predictable to opponents defenses hence why he got a lot of int.

Something else that didn’t get highlighted in this highlight was the toughness of butker, he sprained his ankle bad in the first quarter on his plant foot, and instead of benching himself, tapes and spats up and goes out and drills a 50+ yarder before halftime when it was a much closer game. He deserves a lot of praise for that display of old school toughness! He hit that kick with a one step approach too. Crazy.

I think this would go over the heads of most people that didn’t watch the game, but BUTKER the KICKER essentially lost use of one foot during the game, and still made a 54 YD field goal with only taking one step to kick it. That is absolutely INSANE for any kicker to do that for a PAT much less most kickers couldn’t even get near that for 50+ yards.
