Connor Miller

Let’s go! Fields is my guy! I said just give him protection and he’ll do you wonders!!! Way to go Justin!!!

    Chris Burd

@Ialreadyhaveaname2 San Fran has one of the best defenses in the NFL and you still won. Don’t question a win, on to week 2.

    Kevin Soba

@Ialreadyhaveaname2 all things considered with the 49ers front 7…giving up only 2 sacks is a huge win for this o line in a way.

    Justin Caldero

    Thank you

    William Cartwright

@Kevin Soba if you give up 34 sacks in a year that’s a decent season

    RkyMtnChi

@Ialreadyhaveaname2 lol…this line is just fine. Maybe give them more than one game to jell. 5th rd rookie Braxton Jones held his own against of the league’s top pass rushers and two other linemen (Borom and Jenkins) were rated among the best this week.

Affluent Apex Predator

They tried to tear him down and QBs who look like him. The games still gotta be played.

CHI fans this is what y’all have and he will continue to get better. Stay patient with him and it will pay off.

Sports311

The first half, his offensive line couldn’t protect and he threw the critical interception. The second half, he took advantage of the 49ers crucial penalties and the pick thrown by Lance. The offense was outgained by 100 yards and they still won the game. Overall, I’m proud of the results so far

    joe fortino

    Best comeback in nfl history

    Matteo Watteo

Fields int ….. had a clean pocket. Horrible throw

    Brian Kennedy

he did not look good. he caused those sacks not the offensive line. Oline played great. Fields is not good trust me

    Sam A

@Brian Kennedy got a long season ahead of us so I guess we both will see 👍

    joe fortino

@Brian Kennedy Fields is already a top 5 qb and by the end of the year he’ll be 1 or 2 with Mahomes

T Mac

If the 49ers are a super bowl team then so are the Bears

    DaCrazze

We almost beat them last year glad we redeemed ourselves

Tr0uB135uM

That’s what a competent coach does…….halftime adjustments. Great job by the staff and players ( Bears ) to come out swinging 2nd half. Gotta give a ton of credit to the defense tho they held SF to only 10 points – all in 1st half 🐻⬇️

    Curtis Cox

It was 7-0 at the half. SF scored 3 in the third. The D was polarized in the first half: some really good plays followed by some gaffs that didn’t really bite us because of SF shooting themselves in the foot. But you absolutely correct, we haven’t seen in-game adjustments in over a decade! Damn, that was nice to see!

    PD Gutierrez

@J Bo J Bo you got that RIGHT! Name those players.

    PD Gutierrez

@Allan Reddins Nagy never made half time adjustments.
Coach Nagy may not be able to coach again. He ruined Mitch.
    Good team effort today.
Fields praised offensive line, I like that. They need recognition.

    PD Gutierrez

@Austin Poch 49ers players: number 54 had speed. 29 seemed to be all over the field on plays.
was it 19 for bears blocking on 51 yard touchdown play. well done.

    J Bo

@PD Gutierrez Nagy never made in game adjustments either. He just kept doing what he seen Andy do. All he knew was a playbook. Yeah OL played well facing that front 7. I think they going to be underrated. Love how they all got on that 49er for late hit. My daughter was going crazy how they protected fields 😭

RajOfColumbus

Give Justin his props, he delivered.

    Migger Nonkey

Shaky early but calmed down and delivered

    DaCrazze

@Migger Nonkey like a true pro

    Ten Tray

@Migger Nonkey like he was supposed to… Too many times we’ve had quarterbacks that look good in the first quarter and can’t score late in games… When he starts quick he will be putting up at least 4 touchdowns a game

    aaron clay

@Ten Tray its almost like fields shoudl have been drafted number 1 or 2 overall………………………

    Amahd cole

Yep I knew he could do it

Ruben Ontiveros

As a bears fan I must say im happy we won but damn dude watching fields get zero time in the pocket being forced to scramble makes me nervous for big hits O-line needs to step up

    Midwest Krazy83 Turner

They need to build the Line better in 2023 and some wr

    FreshJoonyuh

Tbh they stepped it up a lot more in the 2nd half and it was rainy as hell, hopefully they do better after playing in a tough game like this. We’ll have to see next week.

    Steve B

I mean on paper SF has a top 5 front 7 they will be making a lot of O-lines look kinda bad this year .

    Ruben Ontiveros

@Steve B I agree the reason I bring it up though as we have already allowed him to take some pretty scary hits with the same issue being our O-line against less menacing teams so I just pray fields don’t end up suffering a career ending injury

    Steve B

@Ruben Ontiveros yup he sure does take a lot of hits. We all know the o-line is not that great but he does not help his own cause when he holds on to the ball for to long.

Ben Carter

Great win. Defense played awesome. Justin played pretty well, excluding the pick, and one throw behind the receive that should have been picked. I think he did a good job managing the game in the second half. If they move to the burbs, we’ll miss these sloppy weather games on the lakefront. Bear Down!!

Jay Brown

If you’ve watched Justin from college you know this is what he does…he’ll raise you’re blood pressure, from him throwing a pic or him doing something incredible 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾let’s go Justin

    BlueDorito

    @Antnie Rockwell right on, Antnie!

    Pascho

Yeah I watched the northwestern and Indiana game

    Jay Brown

@Pascho is that all you watched?…poor troll

    BlueDorito

@Pascho watch the 2020 Clemson game then come back

chip banks

We haven’t had halftime adjustments since the Lovie era 🐻⬇️

Yehoshua

I’m excited for Justin. His number weren’t crazy but he did have two passing TD

    Pawel Tylman

team will only going get better

    Nate Puterbaugh

He was also running for his life most of the game

    RkyMtnChi

In his defense, they were playing on a tore up field that turned into a monsoon. Not exactly the ideal conditions for a shootout.

Counting $amoni

I bet Justin loved sticking it to the team that passed on him for Trey! 😤

    Mark Jackson

I bet (KNOW:)) he did draft night but once he got to Chicago and saw how the team, city,…wanted him like all get out, and Chicago’s been looking for a QB since Jim,…he’s looking ahead, not back. My boss is from Chicago and I said to him after draft, “Y’all got lucky he was still there (to be drafted).”

    Philly Eagles For Life

@Mark Jackson To think he could’ve went to Washington if Chicago didn’t trade up to get him, because that pick was originally the Giants pick and they have Daniel Jones, NE still selects Mac Jones and the next qb needy team is Washington, of course I would’ve hated that because my team would have to play him twice a year, but he ended up being drafted by my second favorite team👍👍👍

    Charles Davis

To be fair the Niners did beat them last year, granted Jimmy G played that game but still

Papa_zoeee1804🇭🇹

Imagine if fields was drafted by the 49ers they would’ve been n great position with his talent n coaching staff

    buster brown

They would have blown us out. Thanks NY Giants, Jets and SF. Trey is not on Justin’s level.

    Zaiod

@buster brown he threw to 3 wide open receivers and that’s it lmao. Trey’s offense just fumbled and committed penalties

    Eric P.

@Zaiod Yeah but the point is they were open, and Justin can definitely fit the ball into tight windows!!

    Joanna Jedrzejczyk’s Forehead

@Zaiod there is no part of Trey’s game, that is even equal to, let alone better than Fields’. Stronger, faster, bigger arm, I can go on and on…

OhMy MyM

Pretty clear Justin Fields learned to play in adverse weather conditions at Ohio State.

    BlueDorito

Something players that go to southern schools don’t learn

THE SPOT

I’ve been telling people for years Justin is coming and he’s gonna be A star watch look at them throws perfect on the money throws. He’s gonna be a top 5 QB within 2 seasons

    Mark Jackson

It’s a crapshoot in drafting these guys but I saw what he did at Ohio State and didn’t understand why the “experts” rated hm below the others. I had him equal with Lawrence and could go either way but Justin by a hair.

    Rolando C

It’s definitely coming.. Fields is about to be a superstar. I think he has a break out game on MNF vs the Packers this weekend..

    Wise Tha Brain

I didn’t see any perfect throws but atleast he hit the players that were wide open

James Campbell

Damn these Bears got some swagger , even the rookies. So fun to see

Adam Johnson

If they played with the same confidence in the first half they would have literally mopped the field with this team. Bad conditions or not, that’s a top flight defense with future first ballot hall of famers on it, and this Chicago team with no pro bowlers in sight protected their home field in terrible conditions. To me that looks like a culture shift and once this team get some real talent look out
