What is the Level of Concern for the Rams After Their Tough Loss to the Bills? – FANTASY FOOTBALL FAN SITE
Matthew Hall

I think the only cause for concern is Stafford’s arm. Then again, Stafford isn’t a stranger to multi interception games so might just be rust too. Too early to tell tho

    Bend Dover

Definitely looked like the Bills had more to prove than the Rams.

    Chad Stuart

@Bend Dover if rams figure out the O line issue, they can go back to the super bowl no doubt. I felt Stafford was pressured into forcing some throws but then again he’s a gamer. He takes chances and that’s why he’s a super bowl champion

    boost

@Chad Stuart better teams have failed to repeat, this rams team isn’t winning two sb in a a row

    Puma Logo

@boost I laugh alot that the Sports critics said that the rams were a Beast team but yet the Rams barely made it to the playoffs…barely win their playoff games..and in the finals again they barely won…..I know ..a win is a win…but still..

    boost

@Puma Logo They are still a pretty strong team. Donald, Ramsey, Kupp, Stafford, Wagner, Floyd, Higbee, etc are a pretty solid core and some of them are the best at their positions. But yeah, it’s way too hard to repeat in the modern NFL: the 10-11 Packers, the 13-14 Seahawks, the 19-20 Chiefs were all better teams that failed to repeat so I don’t see this Rams team breaking the rule. But they are still a very good team with few weaknesses.

I HONESTLY DONT EVEN KNOW

i’ll say this. there’s no panic rn bc it’s the first game of the year and they went against the team who’s likely gonna win the super bowl. but if this keeps going on? yeah that panic level is gonna be crazy.

    Chris Guerrero

But if the rams won there would of been an overreaction like we’ve never seen

    dallascowboysfan1998

Been hearing you guys say that about the Bills the last three years lmao. I won’t hold my breath

    Niners all damn day

Niners are coming big dogs going to eat 😉

    Niners all damn day

@Ernesto Gastelum Stafford ain’t no rodgers and kupp ain’t no davante Adam’s

iotatl

It’s week 1… plenty of time to adjust and built. a team is not defined by their first performance.

Corey Carpenter

I think the rams were doing what the Steelers did last year, and tried to get the run going when it just wasn’t working. It wasn’t even working that well for the bills until they started doing Qb runs.

Ken Floyd

Stafford must have been continuously looking at his jersey, wondering if he was behind Detroit’s O-line. Déjà vu!

Mike Carson

What I took away last night was Stafford’s arm is not right some of those balls that are normally completed in a tight window were sailing all over the field! For the Buffalo bills it wasn’t perfect they left a few points out there on the field but all in all a very complete football game!

    THE BEST EVER

you clearly never watched Strep Throat when he played for Detroit…

    Puma Logo

Stafford showed the fans he hasn’t lost his touch on interceptions lol

    Xeody L

@Puma Logo can’t forget Josh Allen lost to the Steelers week one last year….

    RamsFan08

He had surjury on his elbow in the off-season and we didn’t have him throw at all for pretty much the entirety of the off-season, so this was to be expected out of staffors

    Puma Logo

@Xeody L are the Bills SB champs ?? C’mon man lol

David Nelson

Josh Allen’s excellence at the short passing game forced the safeties to creep closer to the line of scrimmage. Once that happens a good offense knows to then take deep shots and to his credit Allen was ready to exploit misreads by the Rams safeties. I think the offensive play calling was excellent and the execution was very good. In some ways the Bills looked a little rusty on offense in the first half. Imagine what will happen if they start putting together nearly perfect performances on offense. They’ve shown they are very capable of doing so.

    shawn bopko

@Caleb Velez the rams aren’t who they once who were

    Caleb Velez

@shawn bopko that’s not what u said my guy

    shawn bopko

@Caleb Velez the rams are completely arnt who they werw back in the day

    Caleb Velez

@shawn bopko I think you failed basic English my guy

Let’s remind everyone this is week one: The STEELERS BEAT THE BILLS IN WEEK ONE LAST YEAR. Calm down. You’ll know more by week 5. Stafford woke up on his Detroit side of the bed and the Bills turned the ball over plenty for a such a dominated game. Averages tend to “average” out.

    EverythingFootball

@Erik Dayne Yes but they also added Bobby Wagner and Allen Robinson. I’ll remind you that bpth OBJ and Von Miller did nothing in their opening game with LA and the team got blown out (31-17 or something).

    zr76

@EverythingFootball no offense, please don’t cry, but both are really overrated

    EverythingFootball

@zr76 They’re overrated, yeah lol. Doesn’t mean their bad.

    Riots Flores

    Rams Suck

keenfrizzle

This is about as shocking as the loss to the Titans was last year. And it might inspire some dramatic changes in scheme if things don’t get better in the next coming weeks.

Tony West

We’ll know they’re REALLY in trouble if the Seahawks beat them too. Look at the schedule though, Rams just might be 1-3 after week 4. After last night, a lot of people won’t be surprised.

Kristián Štuller

Maaaan,i was wondering what was missing in my life last few months. Exactly this. Overeactions from the media. NFL , Undisputed, First take, etcetc. One loss and straight into what does this mean to Lebrons legacy, does Kyrie wants out, are Rams done this season ? How concerned should we be. Its one fking game holy fk , and they played arguably the better team, both defensively and offensively. I really cant wait for the NBA to start and Cavaliers losing game 1 just for media to be like :”Is Donovan Mitchell really that guy or did Cavs mess up that trade!?!” … Fking media you gotta love it

Joker Productions

I think the Rams will be fine if Stafford is actually healthy, but really the story is that the Bills aren’t as good as we expected. They were better by every measure of the word. They might honestly go undefeated.

    jrad410

    They won’t lol

    Joker Productions

    @jrad410 bet.

    Christian Millar

Did you not learn anything from the video? Rams looked and played terrible. Bills exploited them. It’s week 1 and there’s 16 games left lmao.

    RAMS LIFE !!!!

    @jrad410 Hater alert 🚨

AyeE215

I think this is less about the rams and more about how awesome Josh Allen is. It was a great game he was very focused and knew exactly what was happening around him

    Jerry Siltala

I think it is the exact opposite. Yes, bills looked great except a few plays. But rams look sloppy in every part of the game. Only player that showed up was Kupp, but it can’t be a one man team. The TE dropped a few passes that should have been caught and Stafford really had no time to throw as the oline played horrible. The defense let bills get so many yards after contact and just could not make a play on 3rd downs. But it’s only week 1 so I would take much out of this game.

    Litty Rick

@Jerry Siltala Rams were quite rusty. The rams should be really concerned about Stafford’s arm and especially the OL. The OL was getting dominated.OL looks like it’s going to be a weak spot for the rams the entire season.

    Cory Margarucci

@Jerry Siltala I absolutely agree that the offense looked very sloppy, I expected the offense to be a lot more scary. However, the Oline didn’t play horrible per say (definitely not great), but the bills Dline is more stacked this year than it was last year and it was already great last year.

James Jefferson

Stafford’s best play was that tackle after his interception. Yikes…

Michael Miranda

Remember how awful the Bills looked last year against the Steelers? With preseason being abbreviated and training camp being nerfed- Some teams take about a month to gel. The Bills look ready to roll for sure👌🏼 but rams fans dont need to panic just yet lol

    Jonny Snipes

Bills didn’t get spanked tho, they didn’t get outplayed by the Steelers they just made some stupid play calls by dabol that lost the game. Rams get blown out and had no control in their season opener what so ever

bob bray

I wonder how NFL teams do early in the season when most starters don’t play in the preseason. Most of the Rams starters didn’t play a snap. Practice vs live is not close to the same.

Mr. West

I hope this lost is a wake up call for the Rams. As a rams fan I believe Sean mcvay will scheme up something better as the season goes.. and please get a running game going!!! We need balance in the offense.. feed Henderson and akers..take some pressure off stafford.

chrisnivo

It was a full on beat down, but it’s way too early to panic.

The Rams definitely need to work on that O-Line and they need to give Stafford much better protection but I’m not worried.

I’ll also give full credit to the Bill’s, they look great and they pounded us big time. I really hope we see the Bill’s again in the Super Bowl.

McB

The Rams had NO CONTACT all off season and played NONE of their starters the entire preseason. So the outcome isn’t a surprise. They’ll come into form. Matt Stafford couldn’t get out of his own way. Those sacks he took killed them more than the picks.

Garlic Maioli

The only thing that really concerns me is the Rams’ offensive line. As a seahawks fan, I know a bad line when I see one. They have one starting caliber lineman in Rob Havenstein. It is hard for o lines to improve drastically throughout the season. Even as they build up chemistry with each game, their guys just aren’t talented enough. People have severely underestimated how important a great oline has been to the Rams offense under Mcvay. Remember what happened against the dolphins a couple years ago? They couldn’t block anyone and the offense fell apart. Same thing against the Ravens last year. Even though they won, Stafford threw two picks and they barely came out with a win against a badly injured Ravens team whose only real threat was a great front 4. They have to improve the protection for stafford if they want the offense to replicate it’s success from last year. Not to mention their running game being a complete non-factor.
