Mitch Trubisky as Steelers QB1?

It should have been obvious that Mitch was gonna be the starter when they first signed him, but it all depends on how their offensive line plays to see how Mitch does.

This is the perfect fit for Mitch. I hope he does really well there.

I like how that first guy’s entire take is based on “if trubisky can avoid turnovers” as if that’s ever been a real problem for him. His total turnovers (int +fumbles) each year have been 10, 15, 12, 10. That’s pretty damn good. I dont even know why this would be the focal point of your analysis.

As a bears fan I always felt Mitch was nice hope he be great

People hate on mitch because he was drafted ahead of some great qbs in his class but he was given the worst possible situation with the bears with one of the worst offensive head coaches in the NFL at the time. I personally think he will exceed expectations and become like a poor man’s josh Allen, he doesn’t have quite the arm strength but is still very talented. He will take the Steelers to the playoffs via wildcard birth this year.

I think Trubisky is going to do well with the Steelers. I definitely think he is the type of QB Matt Canada needs to run his offense, because of his mobility. The big question for the Steelers is their offensive line, that is still a weak spot on the team.

I have my expectations low, because this is a transition year for the Steelers. Overall, I think their defense will be improved from a year ago and I think that will keep them in a lot of games, its going to come down to how the offense plays.

Love Mitch as a dude, as a Bears fan, he got done dirty all around but his accuracy (especially downfield) and his knucklehead decisions keep him from being great. He’ll cost you, but not enough for you to notice he’s the problem. A really good backup is what he should be.

i honestly don’t think pickett will play at all this year. i don’t think mitch is gonna be bad and hearing that stat about the pick 6 is crazy. if we don’t turn the ball over our D is good enough to carry us to the promise land

Trubisky played above average on the Bears (which is a fact), and now he’s on an actual good team that’s well coached. He’ll only be better. Trubisky is the highest rated passer in Bears history. Trubisky has thrown 6 TD passes in one game. Trubisky has never thrown a pick six in his CAREER.

Mitch is a changed player since he left Chicago Bears. He is a much more confident QB and he has improved his accuracy and especially throwing down field to the red zone. Mitch will shut up all the negative nellies this season about him. Just wait and see he can become top 10 QB in the NFL this season. No other QB would have playing under Matt Nagy’s play calling. He survived with the Chicago Bears under a strong Defense and Vic Fangio defense play calling and after Vic Fanigo left the Bears for a head coaching job with Broncos everything when down hill for Mitch his last two years on his Rookie contract. Wish him only the best and this Steelers team has to come out to play also with Mitch for the Steelers to have a huge winning record this season. He is a much better QB then everyone gives him credit for and all the negative media that has followed him and all the blame of failures in Chicago which was not all Mitch’s fault the last two seasons he struggled. Any QB would have failed under Ryan Pace and Matt Nagy who could not put a decent roster together, pick a winning coaching staff and Matt Nagy could not lead a locker room or put any kind of offensive play together if he tried. Mitch Trubisky deserves this shot with the Steelers this season and he won’t take it lightly and play his hardest to keep it and this team can win together with him this season and the Steelers team make post season playoffs this season his 1st year with Mitch under the helm. Steelers offense and Defense must improve this season with weapons on both sides of the ball with the Steelers to win against strong defensive teams especially against AFC teams. Otherwise if Steelers struggle this season protecting any QB they should have focused on drafting players to improve their OF and DF line this last off season instead of drafting a rookie QB. Go Steelers Go win games this season.

As fan I haven’t been so comfortable with a roster. Sure the o line and secondary has many issues but the depth we have is huge. I also think Mitch is underrated, hope he balls out. We also have Pickett and mason who both did great this pre season. Regardless of team performance I’m just hype to watch football again

I believe he still has the athleticism to compete in this league. It just didn’t work out in The CHI 🙂
