Yeah that was an unfortunate loss. Especially because we couldโve saved a couple million in cap room if we traded him even for a conditional 7th or just never resigned him in March
The timing did seem really odd, something happened but I doubt we will ever find out why exactly. We never resigned him, they just reworked his original deal which saved like 7+ on this years cap. We certainly could have traded him but I canโt see many takers on a player entering the last year of his deal coming off an ACL injury. I didnโt put too much into it when they gave play calling to X as he is the future and Blake wasnโt going to be here next year, but it was VERY odd when he wasnโt voted as a team captain. Something definitely happened that we arenโt aware of that changed things

Heโs more relaxed compared to the one after the Patriots game. I have more faith in Dabs and Schoen as a Giants fan. Hopefully I can attend a home game this season.
