the reporter already backpedaled quite a bit. I think she said it and he said he agreed.
She tried to walk it back and essentially apologized for it on TV. She’s probably hoping she doesn’t get fired as this point. Should she? No. It’s really not that big of a deal but she shouldn’t quote something if it wasn’t 100% accurate, and definitely not make up trash talk like this.
The NFL is so bloodthirsty for a dramatic storyline that her bosses probably heard about it and _strongly encouraged_ her to put that out.

Browns OL Joel Bitonio sounds like he is really missing Baker in his last two interviews. Wish he hadn’t signed such a long contract so he could come to the Panthers. He is so solid as the anchor of that OL & longest current veteran of the team. He was Baker’s biggest supporter day 1. After a 2 year drought they were winning games! LOVE JOEL!

If there’s one thing I’ve learned from politics it’s that the media has its agendas and will lie or misinterpret things for that agenda. I believe baker on this especially since the reporter is backtracking her comments.
Yes the agenda is money. I don’t want to get political it when you edit a politician’s interview to make or leave something out or you take something out of context kinda like what’s happening with baker now then you have a agenda. How can we get this already heated match up between the panthers and browns even more heated? Let’s take a baker quote out of context. They’re building to the game, added drama to it. It’s for ratings. I can go on but I really don’t want it o get political.

For some reason, the NFL is obsessed with Baker Mayfield. From Shannon Sharpe to Colin Cowherd, they love criticizing this guy cuz they know how he’ll react. Luckily, he hasn’t been playing that part.

He probably talks that way in-house in the lockerroom, the point is he didn’t say it and the media in Cleveland constantly made up stories about him. He just wants to stay out of these controversies so he can concentrate on winning games. That reporter finally admitted SHE said it, not him.
