Lions vs. Steelers postgame press conference: Dan Campbell – FANTASY FOOTBALL FAN SITE
River Boyd

I’m going to sing the victory song 4 times on September 11th

Brandon L

Really was happy to see how well Okudah played today. Locked down Pickens!

    SIKY beast

Agreed, the defensive performance was actually great today. 19 points is a very beatable score. Tighten a few more screws, get the offense kicking, and thats a win. Promising starters on both O & D, I love this young team!

    putnam

Me as well but also need to remember that he was guarding a rookie so he should be shutting him down

    Defy Gravity

He didn’t get put on his behind like Will Harris…

    Brandon L

@Defy Gravity Harris and Bryant were horrible.

    Brandon L

@putnam Pickens has been burning starters, and Jefferson recently put up great numbers as a rookie. Pickens is the best reviever they got and plays a really physical game. Okudahs main issue was that he wasn’t physical enough so this showed a lot

Richard Forrest

Craig Reynolds is a starter I believe he deserves to play every day

    Mike Austin

    I agree

    Alex G

Yeah he’s pretty good they need to use him more

    Scott Sherrill

one cut and go….they better not let him go

RJ

Blough and boyle both blew it. Backup qb isnt on the roster

King Rio

We have to find a back up Quarterback!!!

    kryer981

    Draft Spencer Rattler in ’23.

    Max Valdez

Not so fast there on Rattler. I’m from Oklahoma and a big time Sooner fan. He seemed to regress somewhat last year for some reason. Let’s see what he does at South Carolina first.

Twine

Coach making this look like we are not keeping either Blough or Boyle

    Mike SimpsonParanormal

    Let’s hope not.

    Adam West

At least blough was entertaining with his underhand and flip passes today 🤷‍♂️
But they both look like 3rd stringers at best

    Alrifr

We will keep one on the practice squad.

    Nicholas Dix

I agree we need to start looking for a true back up but I will say blough gots more spark more heart more balls he just makes stupid mistakes honestly with out the fumble in game two he has out played tim Boyle even to day kid catch’s touch down blough has chance to win game

    Ronald Sweet

Blough may be #3, even though he plays like #2. He’s not a legit NFL QB.
    We need a backup QB!

Cameron Wojie

Clarity = were gonna sign a new back up QB

    J T

Honestly, it surprised me how bad the starting offensive line looked. That didn’t help

    Harvey Budnick

Please quit waiting GET A REAL BACK UP QUARTERBACK.

    WhipahSnapah

    “I’m gonna talk to Brad”

Translation – Get these fucking bums out of town.

    steve p

@J T…..If you rewatch the game the starting line played well. I know it doesn’t look like it but they did. Most of the busted running plays came from missed blocks by our tight ends and receivers. At least 4 times our quarterbacks left clean pockets or drifted into pressure. Pittsburgh also blitzed the hell out of us because they weren’t scared of our quarterbacks.

The 4th and 1 play for example. Our line actually got a yard push. Pittsburgh blitzed both linebackers and a safety. Hockenson missed the block on miles jack and he made the stop. Live it looked like the line allowed 3 unblocked defenders. In reality if hockenson makes the block on Jack the running back picks up the first down.

Rocky Bass

DC is clearly not happy. Nor should he be. From today’s preformance if JG goes down we’re screwed.

    Jonathan

Almost every team in the NFL is screwed if their starting QB goes down and this isn’t a team making a deep playoff run. This argument is so silly.

    Sagittarian King

    FACTS!!

Mike SimpsonParanormal

I hope and pray they get a back up QB it showed today that if Goff goes down we have no one .

    E. S.

    Jimmy G ?

    Tyler Spring

@E. S. it would take him too long to learn the system and develop a connection with the receivers, you saw the connection goff and josh reynalds had when he joined. This isn’t madden when you just sign a guy and he plays like he did on his former team

    steve p

91 giants, 99 rams, 2001 patriots, 2000 ravens. It’s rare but it can be done.

    Tyler Spring

@steve p you named 4 teams in 31 years, all better rosters than the detroit lions

    Eric Harrison

Brad Holmes is a evil genius. That’s why Tim Boyle started yesterday , and David blough finished up. I believe they already have a potential QB signing, the waiver wires there , plus they may have already spoken to those 2 bums replacements.

Adam West

After today, I think Jermar Jefferson is out. Do Jackson and Reynolds both make it?

    Adam West

I think Cephus, Pimpleton, and Alexander are out at WR. Do Kennedy and Benson both make it?

    Adam West

I think Boyle is out. Blough makes it for now, but sounds like they might be in the market for a qb2

Al Johnson

Best thing about this game – no Lion’s injuries!

    Bryan Smith

    absolutely for real

BEN DIESEL

I will say all lions fans have known that neither blough or Boyle are worthy back ups in the nfl. At least Brad and Dan finally have realized that too.

    T-LowCTI

I am a lions fan, and I agree with this statement. I really do think Tim Boyle is going to get cut, I might be wrong but we will see

Ronald Sweet

Tell you who has gotten plenty of exposure and will NOT be catching on with another team.
Tim Boyle!
I’ll bet you can guess another one.
David Blough!
If Goff goes down, might as well get Rodrigo or Kennedy up to speed at QB. They couldn’t possibly be worse.

pauljohnsonish

Harris, Hutch, even Okudah looked good. Lions are quick to the ball and tackling looks best it has in years.

    Bryan Smith

agreed – I’m a bit stunned everytime the tacklers actually bring the guy down (except Jarrad Davis still bouncing off Bennie Snell?! Come on!)

pauljohnsonish

a lot of respect for DC….tonight’s press conference had to be tough….and he handled it like a pro. Turnovers, penalties and drops will beat you everytime.

    steve p

Agreed. He made it clear he wasn’t going to go into detail. When the reporter continued to press, which is his job, Dan respectfully restated that he wasn’t going to get into it right now. He didn’t get snarky or angry. I thought it was well done.

    Brian Reid

    He was angry. That’s good.

Eric Harrison

This game was perfect. The eagles didn’t get much to go on. The real lions we’ll be waiting for the eagles when the smoke clears.

    steve p

Pittsburgh also gave the lions some great situations to work on. They blitzed and stunted the hell out of our offense.

    Sagittarian King

    FACTS****

    Eric Harrison

@steve p true, but also those were guys that won’t be on the team after tomorrow. See what I’m saying here?

Aj M.

Reynolds has heart… he’s playing for something, not just a ridiculous check. He’s going to be a #2 RB somewhere else if you don’t keep him.

    Iceberg Slim

Hope they keep, he’s been the same guy since last year runs hard and angry

Jeff Bruns

Could the Lions finally have cornerback? J.Okud’s play looked great. Lions tackling with authority, I can’t believe it.
Hoping for the best this year, and years to come. Tough week with final roster coming up.

T-LowCTI

I love Craig Reynolds, he’s got the number 3 rb spot locked, Jamar Jefferson is probably going to get cut.

Gregory Ball

Pittsburgh had one heck of a team back in the 70’s with Terry Bradshaw at the helm.
