Agreed, the defensive performance was actually great today. 19 points is a very beatable score. Tighten a few more screws, get the offense kicking, and thats a win. Promising starters on both O & D, I love this young team!
Me as well but also need to remember that he was guarding a rookie so he should be shutting him down

@putnam Pickens has been burning starters, and Jefferson recently put up great numbers as a rookie. Pickens is the best reviever they got and plays a really physical game. Okudahs main issue was that he wasn’t physical enough so this showed a lot

@J T…..If you rewatch the game the starting line played well. I know it doesn’t look like it but they did. Most of the busted running plays came from missed blocks by our tight ends and receivers. At least 4 times our quarterbacks left clean pockets or drifted into pressure. Pittsburgh also blitzed the hell out of us because they weren’t scared of our quarterbacks.
The 4th and 1 play for example. Our line actually got a yard push. Pittsburgh blitzed both linebackers and a safety. Hockenson missed the block on miles jack and he made the stop. Live it looked like the line allowed 3 unblocked defenders. In reality if hockenson makes the block on Jack the running back picks up the first down.
DC is clearly not happy. Nor should he be. From today’s preformance if JG goes down we’re screwed.
Almost every team in the NFL is screwed if their starting QB goes down and this isn’t a team making a deep playoff run. This argument is so silly.

@E. S. it would take him too long to learn the system and develop a connection with the receivers, you saw the connection goff and josh reynalds had when he joined. This isn’t madden when you just sign a guy and he plays like he did on his former team

Brad Holmes is a evil genius. That’s why Tim Boyle started yesterday , and David blough finished up. I believe they already have a potential QB signing, the waiver wires there , plus they may have already spoken to those 2 bums replacements.
After today, I think Jermar Jefferson is out. Do Jackson and Reynolds both make it?
I think Cephus, Pimpleton, and Alexander are out at WR. Do Kennedy and Benson both make it?

Harris, Hutch, even Okudah looked good. Lions are quick to the ball and tackling looks best it has in years.

Agreed. He made it clear he wasn’t going to go into detail. When the reporter continued to press, which is his job, Dan respectfully restated that he wasn’t going to get into it right now. He didn’t get snarky or angry. I thought it was well done.

This game was perfect. The eagles didn’t get much to go on. The real lions we’ll be waiting for the eagles when the smoke clears.
Pittsburgh also gave the lions some great situations to work on. They blitzed and stunted the hell out of our offense.

Reynolds has heart… he’s playing for something, not just a ridiculous check. He’s going to be a #2 RB somewhere else if you don’t keep him.
