@Chris 64 TDs to 37 interceptions for his career as a starter. A career passer rating of 87/100. 25 wins and 13 losses with the Bears as a starter. And all of that while having to run for his life behind the worst OLine in the league AND having a coach the somehow forgot how to call plays for 2 straight seasons. So yes, you are obviously watching different games.

You’re calling a dude trash who is a pro bowler when used correctly, played on a team with no OLine, had a coach that couldn’t call plays, with no offensive weapons around him as far as receivers go. You ever think about any of that, on top of the stats I’ve provided?

My main concerns heading into the regular season are our O-line and our run defense. Other than that, I am pretty optimistic with the Steelers heading into the regular season. Now we must wait and see if it’s going to be Trubisky or Pickett that will start for us in Week 1. Post Big Ben era begins in 2 weeks. Time to begin our journey to our 7th SB win. #HereWeGo

The run defense looked good with everyone out there
The draw play on 3rd and 17 was entirely on Devin Bush. The guy absolutely sucks at getting off blocks.

The Lions are one hit away from another three win season. I don’t know what they see in their current backup quarterbacks but They need a competent backup. One that can manage games and not piss them away.
The Lions run game is going to suprize. Especially if teams
arent ready or take them lightly. Their O line is for real. They move bodies around dominate and give the qb a decent passing pocket. They may have a few fanbases questioning their defenses. As you can see by Steeler fan reactions.

I’m ready for the season for Steelers but im not to happy for the offense line the need to be solid for team to compete this season
I was more impressed with Lions defense rather than the Steelers. There may be some bias but we just watched the Steelers starters struggle against Lions back ups. Lions gave up one touchdown versus a team that is a continuous playoff contender. Steelers played they starters the entire first half and you seen partial of the lions starters just on the first 2 series defensively and rarely any offensively. Lions have a lot of upside barring injury is all I’m saying
And that touchdown came against our backups once we pulled the starting defense

Hope Detroit runs more. They look solid there. The Steelers keep rolling on year after year .
The Steelers need to have all three quarterbacks do great and stay healthy. We don’t need a repeat of the 2019 season where Ben Roethlisberger and Mason Rudolph got hurt and we have to call up Devlin Hodges from the practice squad. Of course, a quarterback is only as good as the offensive line that protects the QB when he throws the ball, as well as open up the lanes for the RB. I can’t WAIT for the regular season to begin.
Seems as though the coaching staff would somehow make the OL’s rules and techniques as simple and as manageable as possible to make their “less than stellar/borderline shitty” O-linemen more easily able to grasp blocking concepts and individual asignments. Instead, they’ve brought in an OL coach with “new and “unconventional” methods that’s gotten them really confused on the basics of OL blocking – having both remnants of the old habits of conventional blocking mixed in/up with “new” concepts that they haven’t learned well enough to be applied as second-nature reactions. I wonder how long it’ll take for the OL to come together with the newer concepts (if ever) or if they’re eventually going to scrap it (b/c ineffective) and go back to simple zone/power blocking concepts just to have some semblance of production. We’ll see pretty soon…..

Blough seems to be a pretty competent passer and I like that he can think quick; especially with those shovel passes, but there is NO velocity on those throws. The DBs literally have all day to track them down for interceptions or at least blocked passes.
