Kenny pickett is better than mitch but they arent starting him. He needs time to develop. Steelers oline needs some work too but I think kenny pickett is going to have a good time in Pittsburgh

*Unlike Mahomes coming from the “Air Raid Spread” at Texas Tech QB Pickett ran a ton of pro concepts at Pitt and started 50 games. Pickett is more along the lines of a Manning and Luck. Not Mahomes or Allen. All the stuff that rookies struggle with are the things that Pickett accels at. His game always was translating to the NFL and doing so quickly. The accuracy is great. The athletic ability is sneaky damn good. But the “Natural Feel” that he has for the game and the QB position is just something you can’t teach and that seperates him from other QBs young and old. He is gonna be special bro, I’m telling you*

It’s going to be a tough decision because the O-line is bad and a lot of QBs who sat their first year have really benefited from it Brady, Mahomes, Rodgers, Brees, Rivers etc.. but Kenny has looked phenomenal idk why so many people knock him and say he doesn’t have a high ceiling and isn’t a good prospect both those things are just wrong, as a Steeler fan I wouldn’t mind either of them starting but I’m slightly leaning towards Trubiski starting because of the O-line being bad even though I love Kenny Pickett and think he’s a little better than Mitch right now

The question is can Pickett process more complicated defense formations that he will see in the regular season? He has lots of learning curve to go through. If he had a stud offensive line in front of him he might have a chance but most likely he will get chewed up and eaten alive. I say put one of the other guys in as cannon fodder and rebuild the offensive line next season

I think if we had a formidable Oline he would be the starter week 1. Based on these past two three years the team knows this Oline will get him hurt or will make him look bad.
I wouldn’t start Kenny bc of the shitty O-line . I don’t wanna risk him to injury .
