If they play different sides of the ball they can have the same number in preseason. So 2 offensive players can’t but a special teams guy and a wide receiver can.

NFL analysts were calling Mel Kiper a homer for saying Jordan was just as good as the other punter in the draft
but now Kiper looks smart as always
Stout’s ball placement and air time was elite! Couldn’t nobody return those punts.
They go sky high, it’s super impressive!

Between the punt god and Stout (punt sharpshooter). The specialist rookie class is really special this year.

Because they play different positions and aren’t on the field at the same time.
Preseason rules allow it since you have more guys than you would normally have.
One of the reasons the Ravens have been so consistently successful is not overlooking the third phase of the game. Special Teams.
Stout looks like he’s more than capable of filling Sam Koch’s shoes and his ability to handle kickoffs and field goals/extra points in a pinch is always a nice insurance policy if god forbid something happened to Tucker on any given night.
Field position will always matter, and the Ravens are usually well coached in special teams. Owe a lot of that to Harbaugh’s special teams coordinator background but that was a tradition in Baltimore going all the way back to the early 2000’s.
