Don’t need to explain anything coach this is your team.

    John Bob

    Exactly

    W

    Bro ikr

    Scott Short

Our coach seems like he’s a great communicator, excited for the season

    The McAndrews

    Thanks Coach 💜💛

    Brinaldi

We all know the why more often then not it’s just cool to see how Coach approaches everything

drewlovs

You know, I never minded Zimmer’s “I hate doing this” attitude during press conferences… but MAN! It’s so nice to not have that tension and have honest (tho very guarded) answers.

    SK

Give it time. Zim was pretty easy going early on as well, though not to this degree. Tomasson wears on a guy over time.

    Briana W

@SK 100% on the TomASSon comment

Marlon Bailey

This team is starting to look really good.

Dacq

Glad we picked up a better back up. KOC danced around that question though lol.

Bookem

Now I want to see Mullens play in the Preseason

    Tom

@TheBossTaco I think fine after he has time to learn it.

    Skol 4 Life

@TheBossTaco Sean McVay is part of the Shanahan coaching tree which is what KOC is implementing. Mullens is completely well versed in this type of offense his adjustment will be fairly quick.

    Skazellino

He’s nothing special. Better than Mannion and Mond yes, but that’s not saying much.

    Skol 4 Life

@Skazellino kind of what a backup is typically

    Tom

@Skazellino Vikings fans are the greatest fanbase in the NFL to demand starter quality in their backup QBs. Did it occur to you that if he was starter quality he would BE starting in a QB demanding league? He’s a backup. Period.

Florence Dahl

We needed another QB Skol Vikings

Joel Price

NFL stands for Not For Long if you don’t produce positive results. QB is a high visibility position. QB 2 is a critical need. The guys they had on the roster weren’t the answer. The organization went outside the building to get better.

    Avon Barksdale

Dope, Captain Obvious is in the building

    Wolf Wang

    Thanks, Booger..

PuckGold

Mullins is a solid back-up. Kudos to the staff for recognizing the 2 back-,ups blew their opportunity to solidify that position.

As a 9ners fan (and if you just watch the tape), Shanahan opened up the playbook WAY more with Mullens when Jimmy went down. The man would’ve had a better record had that not been our 29ers season. Mullens>Jimmy

Samuel Bradburn

If Mond and Mannion get released, I bet Green Bay picks one of them up to get information about our offense. I say keep Mond on the 53 for now, and Mannion on the practice squad and hope he doesn’t get picked up by an in-division team.

    steveooo

I wouldn’t worry about mond, he doesn’t have a grasp on the offensive. Mannion does have a grasp on it, but doesn’t have the physical tools.

Thorfinsky 1

I know it’s only preseason but I hope they start developing a culture of winning soon!

    phreakerby thespeaker

    No more excuses!

    Puppetcabbage

Well to be honest the talent on the field will have more freedom to make plays. As a coach myself, when players second guess their selves, it can make for a tense atmosphere because they are too worried about “what will coach think or say” instead of forgetting and moving forward like great coaches always tell them. Zimmer seemed like a coach that would never just let it go and coach them to be better. KOC seems like a coach that will let them play and actually coach them to help the team. We shall see

Billy Joel

Even the casual fan can see the mediocrity in Mannion and Mond.
The Vikings have a long history of searching and trying to obtain stellar qb’s to lead them to the Promised Land.
Sooner or later, they will succeed !

Tremolux Man

KOC is a really good tap-dancer. It’s a compliment.

Alberto Miceli t

Still need a center

WhiteMikeJ414 Gaming

Mullens broke favres records at southern Miss

Old man vs Young boy Generation gap‘s

Good choice for a back up

Smitty Werben Jaggerman-Jensen

Trade for David Andrews! Center from the Pats, Billy B will not ask as much as others might ask for their center.

Puppetcabbage

I can tell coach Oc is totally relieved the got a new backup QB.

James Dalton

It is great that we addressed the Backup QB. Now lets see something happen for our STARTING Center.

Ryan Mitchell

O’Connell was basically saying in a nice way that we are going to get rid of Mannion and keep Mond to develop as our third string quarterback, and hopefully be our QB of the future so he can learn the next two years behind cousins and this new quarterback. Mond has a lot of potential. He’s just not quite ready yet. What a privilege it is that he gets the time to develop without ruining his confidence by starting him too early. Hopefully the wait it is worth it!

Clinton Reisig

Good move 😃
