This is incredibly low. I can’t stress how horrible this chargers defense was last year . I really feel without his tackling , leadership and iq the chargers would have had a historically bad defense
@Cory Costa you just picked the right one tho. More than any other sport , injuries happen. And Derwin can shore up any position basically if needed. He’s also elite at each one of these versatile traits. No other safety can say that.

@A- DUB Derwin has to prove his body can hold up and stay available. These other safeties don’t have the same injury history. And the interception is literally the most valuable defensive play so put some respect on Byard and his all pro resume. He’s also an excellent tackler in the open field. You can give Derwin his props w/o talking down on other ballers
He’s the best safety in the league so there should be no other safeties above him because the 40’s is stupid low

I think he’s the best safety in terms of versatility. Can play in the box, deep middle, can even play slot CB.
hes the only player in the past 10 or 13 years that I was instantly excited for and knew he was gonna be elite. after week 1 vs the chiefs his rookie year he was already the beat player on the defense, and lead the team along with rivers and Co on offense to the playoffs
