Yupp. I was born a Steelers fan, and I will ALWAYS be a die hard Steelers fan. But I have been really disappointed in the way the fans treat Mason. By all accounts the poor dude works hard and gives it everything he has every single day. He has so clearly gotten immensely better this year. Not only his preseason games so far, but in camp he has been very accurate and looks good.
Don’t get me wrong I definitely don’t want him to be my starting QB by any means. But I think he’s turned into one of the best backup QBs in the league which is something valuable to have because of how heavily teams rely on QBs. If your starter goes down for 3-4 weeks you can at least know that the backup is capable & can manage his way through a few wins if needed. That is a huge role in today’s game.
@Bobby Macblain It has been shameful … but that is the curse of sitting behind a HOF QB. This guy has taken an absolute beating both physically and verbally and has NEVER said a foul word about any of it – he DESERVES the respect he’s not getting whether he’s a franchise QB or not. Steelers fans have been spoiled for the past 18 years, many of them not old enough to know what this team was like the 20 years between Bradshaw and Ben – when QB was the one position holding us back from winning multiple titles. Finding the next franchise QB when you are never picking in the top 10 is the hardest thing to do in professional sports management. I hope they keep him this year and we can make our way into the post season. He’s worth WAY more than a 5th round pick – which only has about a 16% chance of making an NFL roster. The younger fans that hate Mason really don’t get it.

Best QB on the Steelers. The fact that you Steelers fans actually believe he’s not tells me that y’all don’t know football it’s hilarious. Pickett might be better someday but it definitely isn’t now.
pickett is so much better lol, hes mobile, very accurate, and makes faster reads than any other QB on the roster. Rudolph has a canon, but his pocket presence is nowhere near Kenny’s.
