I’m taking prime JJ over any DE in NFL history, he was elite in every single aspect of his position, Pass rush – the only player with 2 20+ sack seasons, elite run stopper, on top of that had double digit swatted balls and dude even had an 80 yard pick 6 as a freakin DE. Straight Dawg.

JJ WATT truly changed the way a 3-4 lineman played. A guy double teamed most of the time tallying 15-20 sacks a year. The guy won dpoy 3 out of 4 years, Aaron Donald is on his way though. TJ Watt is phenomenal too!
Young kids now will never know abt prime JJ man. The man was choosing where the whole DL lined up every play. They started triple teaming him after a 20 sack season, so the following year he broke the record for passes batted down at the line of scrimmage and still had 15+ sacks. He was an absolute machine
JJ Swatt was a freaking menace off the edge. He dragged that dumpster fire of a Texans ream to the playoffs multiple times almost off his play alone. Probably a top 25 defensive player ever.

JJ watt, and Myles Garret are probably my favorite edges I’ve gotten the chance to watch over my 24 years watching football. Something about the way those 2 play/played the position that leaves you in awe almost every play. Even when they don’t get a sack they are impacting almost every single play all game long
