Great Start, I loved our energy. Already the offensive line looks light years ahead of the last regime in terms of scheme and coaching. I must admit it seems Ryan Poles did well this draft, in adding much needed talent and young energy. Talent is evident even in the later rounds of his picks. At the line of scrimmage we held our own, on both sides. And Folks that’s how ball games are won. o7!!!
@Chosen One That’s true, don’t remember seeing Cole Kmet.
@J Bo Kmet, is gonna take a big step forward this season. Due to Poles telling Fields to work with Mooney and Kmet during the offseason. You will start to see the chemistry once the bullets start flying so to speak.
@Matt Hix Number 34 in the top 100 in NFL right now. So yes, he is a beast. But there are more like him in the wild, so the Bears have to be ready for him and other players like the DT on the Rams.

I love the no-nonsense approach. I am quite sure that the players appreciate having a leader that can lead. He seems very organized and very thoughtful. Getting all the talent that we need will hopefully come over time. What I feel good about is that he will get all of the effort from the guys that are here now and that we will avoid shooting ourselves in the foot multiple times in a game with stupid penalties and undisciplined play. Doing that will allow us to win games that we would routinely lose in the past.
I liked seeing OC Luke Getsy calling plays from the sideline rather than up in the booth! I saw him and Justin Fields going thru plays on the sideline.

No idea how it all translates to wins but I thought the Bears looked like a well coached team again. They played clean football and I saw more effort in that pre-season game than in a lot of regular season games last year. It just looked more watchable. I know game one pre-season doesn’t mean anything but I thought it was nice to watch and not have alarm bells going off everywhere. At the very least, it’s a foundation for a change of culture and expectations. A lot of those rookies looked pretty promising as well. Nice job staff! Gratz on your first game as head coach.

Brisker looked next level out there, Braxton held his own for a rookie, Robinson looked like he had some promise, Ebner looked great, and Sanborne was no joke.. Gill the punter was a monster
