Especially when their whole starting offense was out there again Cleveland’s back up defense…lol

@jamaal whitaker well its because its the jaguars radio commentators for the season. Usually for the preseason, unless its a national televised game, the commentators are gonna be the home team’s radio commentators
All that biased moaning and groaning was horrible
And the way they weren’t identifying Browns players made me think I was playing Game Day 98 on Playstation.

Yeah idk why they played all their starters. Canโt be many teams doing that . It was pretty frustrating trying to eval our guys when the Jags threw their best lineup out there
@Maker Bayfield new coach and new offensive scheme. They need some in game reps before the regular season. Jags wouldโve ate your starts up either way
These announcers were about as bad as the Jags in the second half of this game.

I’m not young but, why do I do this every year, get excited for the 1st preseason game and, 15 minutes in, the boredom sets in? Watching the starters with the shoulder pads off before half, etc. I think there were 12 people in the stands halfway through the 4th. But glad to see the Browns wearing the all whites. I want them to stay in unis Paul Brown would recognize. Yes, I like tradition.
Don’t kick yourself for being excited that football is back. As an older fan, I can tell you that when it comes to preseason, you have to watch the games more for seeing the young draftees, and invitees, trying to make the squad. When you’re getting ready to watch a preseason game, especially the first two, study the roster. Learn the names of the fresh guys that are trying to make the team. And watch the rest of the game, after the starters leave, to see how they do. And do not worry about wins, losses, or scores. This is just like Spring Training in MLB. Teams are looking at what guys can do in different situations, and how they handle things at game speed. Wins/losses and scoring are not an issue. That’s just me. I hope it helps.
i think its because its probably more about the result in the end. like did the team you want to win get it done? if so its instant dopamine.

I personally enjoy watching all of the preseason. I like to see how the young players are and it keeps me interested

I always get sad when I watch pre-season football. When these guys fumble or throw picks, their lifelong dream just disappears. One mistake can be the difference between you getting a spot or not.

No. His foot was on the line and your entire body has to be over it.
It’s legal if just part of the body crosses, if I’m not mistaken.
The ball was placed just forward of the blue line (15 yd line) and he threw the ball when his whole body was already past it. You can see this clearly at 6:54~6:55. Set the playback speed to 50% and pause it before he throws, you’ll see that he was way past where the ball was spotted.
@PKPNYT47 The NFL is very inconsistent about this rule, looking back on past circumstances in NFL history. Sometimes they treat it as legal if the throwing motion was started behind the line (as seen in this case). Other times, it is deemed illegal if even the ball is past the line of scrimmage. Other times, if even the back foot is still behind the line, it’s considered legal. But it’s preseason so it matters less.
Doug would’ve challenged it in a real game but didn’t feel the need. I’m excited for creativity he will bring to this offense, the amount of times the Browns defense was running one way while the play went the other was absolutely spectacular to see and all do to coaching and execution.

As a Raider , The Jaguars got a good WR in Zay Jones.
I don’t think anyone really expected the Jags to have depth.
Trevor looked much better than last year, and you can tell how much happier the team is from those huddle shots

Itโs exciting watching the new talent make big plays. Emersonโs interception was clutch. He out muscled his receiver for that ball. . . Thatโs not typically the type of interception weโre used to seeing. Isaiah Thomas made a few big plays too, a sack, he showed on numerous plays during the game that he can use his speed and ability to bend around the tackle to get to the backfield fast. Jerome Ford is looking like heโs going to really add to our schemes. Imagine running a truck play having Nick Chubb, and Jerome Ford with a guard pulling or a TE pulling to block for one of the runners. Unless the D stays home on the right one. . . ๐
I am so excited for this season. The chemistry the jags have is gonna be a complete 180 from last year.
As a Browns fan I can definitely see the Jags have gotten better even tho they lost. Great job boys, good game.
