As a lions fan Falcons got a gem in ridder 🔥💯

    DD

Aidin Hutchison That dude is gonna be a beast I’m not Lions fan

    Michael Fregoso

As a falcons fan I too believe Aidan Hutchinson will be the next young Scary DE in the league that people gotta double team. Also don’t sleep on RODRIGO! Loved hearing the commentators talk about his story. Rise up and good luck to your lions.

    Funny Cat

As a falcons fan Hutchinson was a beast

Brennan Dipippo

Some very professional throws that were dropped. Loved him in college and really think he can do great things with Pitts and London

    One Time For The Fan

    Pitts London and Patterson 🥶

    Sam Oti

@Romain they said the same thing about mahomes . Thats why he got drafted in the late first round . Watch him make you eat your words

    Romain

@Sam Oti The difference is Mahomes had/has elite potential, read the scouting report. What’s this Ridder’s ceiling? I don’t even think he can be Matt Ryan, yet alone Mahomes, but I’ve been wrong on Deshaun Watson, Deshone Kizer before, so anything is possible. I just will believe it when I see it.

    Mason Cole

He’s the reason imo if Atlanta is picking No. 1 next year that they pass on Stroud, Young or Levis in favor of Will Anderson at edge.

    One Time For The Fan

@Mason Cole Atlanta ain’t picking 1 next year 😂. Just my opinion but this team is better than what ppl see on paper

Falcons Empire

Let’s hope we can develop him right in the A-Town🔥. For a first preseason game I love his grit & those 2 sweet Touchdowns!!!!!! RiseUp!

    One Time For The Fan

    True! RiseUp

    DarnelltheGemini

He gotta train with the Atlanta Braves Development Coaches

    Falcons Empire

    @DarnelltheGemini let’s make that happen now🤣

Seth Wessinger

Man he’s got some unexpected zip on that ball.

DancingHyena

ridder did great for his first game on nfl soil. we don’t have any receivers to catch. drop after drop. c’mon guys

    Charles

Tbf they are backups for a reason

    Jake_RG

@Charles yes but they still nfl wrs can’t be dropping all them easy passes 🤣

FunSize141

Those drops must have been incredibly frustrating. Those were on the receivers.

Sittin On The Goddam Corner Doing Dope

Bruhhh the first 2 were all on the money too

    Andre Doe

    Yup, butterfinger city🙄smh

    Ac1D Tx

For real bro. Def on the on receivers.

    Bpr Rigged Dice

I was at work and missed the game but after this video he definitely saw a lot of drops.

    Blk Philip

Bro I was screaming at my phone
“Annnnd a great catch by…..nvm he dropped it” 😭😭😭

Jake Wilson

Desmond Ridder was balling in the first preseason game!!!

bayem footman

Rudder had a solid amount of dimes, but these receivers couldn’t catch a cold. Atlanta definitely has an exciting prospect with him.

    Nicholas Mallard

    Rudder?🤨

    Ryan M

@Nicholas Mallard yeah, he did a hell of a job navigating the ship! 😆

Old Guy Gaming Network

I know it is just preseason football but I am impressed with what I saw. I am a Washington fan so there is no bias in my opinion.

TripleThePugg

I can’t wait to see what this team can do when he throws to people who can actually catch the ball

    KKingDDraco

Fact they can give it people who can make plays

Brendt Lindsay

Ridder looked comfortable, poised, and confident. All the incompletion’s were on the receiver. I feel confident about our QBs this year

    Bo J.

I predict that Ridder is going to end up starting the majority of games this year. We’ll see. Mariota is far from established there, so if they struggle, and they probably will because they aren’t a great team, they’ll let Ridder out there to develop

    Michael Fregoso

@Bo J. if they figured out how to fix their o-line & d-line, they could be a scarier team than most casuals think. All other skill positions are set on the Falcons. They got 2 mobile QBs, Secondary & WR group has improved, LB & RB group have a lot of solid pieces as well. The main obstacle for the 2022 Falcons will be how do they manage the trenches. If they improved in that area, they can be a dark horse playoff team. Only time will tell.

    Shane 404

@Michael Fregoso as much as I’d love to see us return to the playoffs (even though we most likely wouldn’t get past the wild card round) I’m more concerned with our roster staying healthy this season. We are paper thin at most positions and anyone going down, especially rookies, would be devastating

Aktzin

Remember, this is playing against backups. Regardless, Ridder had a stellar debut, and shows he has the ability to make good, quick decisions. Would’ve been better if his receivers were able to catch. I hope to see him and the rest of the qbs taken this year to prove everyone wrong about their “weak qb class.”

    FLORIDA BOYYY

No duhh and he’s also playing with back ups goes both ways

    Isaiah Harper

If he had his starting receivers he prolly would’ve had 250 passing yards they were 3rd and 4th strings too😂

KingJoel

This guy was super underrated IMO surprised he drop that low in the draft you can tell this guy has a lot of potential

Maximad

If his receivers could catch a football for once he would be making gains. He looked really confident which is surprising especially the fact he can run as well.

Also holy sh- that Hail Mary was unexpected.

    Avon Barksdale

    That wasn’t a Hail Mary

But I do agree with what you said before that. Ridder was always my favorite QB all-around from the 2022 Class.
Obviously a very weak Class, but I still think Ridder will end up being the best of the bunch and will end up Atlanta’s QB1. Unless Tennessee (or whoever ends up with him if he’s traded) really focuses on developing Malik Willis, I really can’t see any of the other guys being much better. Corral will likely end up being quite decent as well. Pickett though? Meh.

Tejsh Desai

Every other rookie QB may have more “talent” or “arm” than Ridder, but based on this performance, Ridder clearly has the perfect balance of everything including a mind that’s smart and determined. Falcons got a steal.

    El mexichango trolazo

arm not talent maybe, ridder and also pickett and matt corral have one of the best arms in college.

Josh Kasper

Looked extremely comfortable out there, made some really impressive throws.. counted at least 8 drops by the receivers smh

Ely

His debut came with GW TD throw gotta love it. Seems very poised in the pocket and throws well on the run. I think he will be a very solid NFL qb for a long time.

Martin Wathen

He played really well. Most of the incompletions are on the receivers dropping anything that was coming to them. Put him with guys that can catch on the first team, and I think he hold the starting job by the end of the season.

Shane 404

I love what I’m seeing from Ridder so far. No disrespect to Matty Ice, but it’s refreshing seeing Falcons QB’s who can scramble away from that atrocious O-line. Hopefully we can keep Ridder behind Mariota to learn and develop for at least this season. I’m not going to get my hopes up, but I think Ridder has a good chance to surprise everyone. I wish him the best of luck!

Billy Simmons

Not seeing Matt Ryan is such a difference. Ridder is so much more flexible. This will be a different team this year. Ridder does not play like a rookie. Impressive debut.
