I think Matt has the best arm of the QBs and definitely the highest upside…as soon as he gets a deeper understanding of the offense and opposing defenses he will be tearing up the league.

@SlappinSteve because 9 times out of 10 not starting a qb in their first season ends up helping them in their second season because they’re more adjusted as opposed to throwing them into the fire with no experience to what nfl defenses look like and rattling them early. Look what sitting aaron rodgers and tom brady for the first few years did. And sam is a bust.

Aaron Rodgers sat for 3 and look how that turned out. Being able to sit for a season or two will help him immensely. Baker should help the young players develop this year, regardless of where he plays next season. Darnold wasn’t keeping the offense on the field long enough last season for the rookies and young players to get significant game time.

If Matt Rhule hits on this guy, I’ll give credit where credit is due. Though I do believe he was the consensus #1 guy for all of the staff. Very excited to see him in preseason. I hope he gets all of the 2nd half snaps in game 1 next week.
